|Minimum Stay||3 - 7 nights|
Willy Wilcox Cottage is the listed seafront cottage, with the bright blue door and shutters, seen on so many paintings and postcards of both Polperro and Cornwall. It has four bedrooms, all have sea and fishing harbour views. The beamed sitting room has an open fire and a large picture window looking over the fishing boats in the harbour. The unique raised beach terrace has stunning views, a great place for breakfast, a nightcap or any time in between and there is an enclosed rear BBQ terrace. We welcome you with a home-made cream tea and also provide a pass allowing use of the indoor hotel pool and gym in Looe (4 miles).
Willy Wilcox sleeps eight and is the nearest cottage to the beach in the historic fishing village of Polperro. Its idyllic location has the coastal path leading from steps behind the cottage which is situated over the cave and beach in Polperro. The pubs, restaurants, art galleries and shops of Polperro are just seconds away. We are dog friendly and they are welcomed widely in Polperro.
We are Deborah and Jon, living in the village of Hurst, Berkshire with our son and daughter aged 11 and 15. They, along with our Italian Spinone, are now enjoying the type of care-free childhood Cornish holidays that we both did. They have a freedom in Polperro that we believe is quite unique. Willy Wilcox Cottage is our delight.
Deborah Pleace purchased this cottage in 2010
We were lucky enough to buy the picture postcard cottage, it features on so many. It took a long time to find the perfect sea-front Cornish property, somewhere you could hear and smell the sea.
From inside Willy Wilcox Cottage, you can experience so much of the outside because of its position and views. Beautiful Polperro, caters really well for tourists but is a working fishing village at heart. Watch fishing boats or storms coming into the harbour and be part of the changing seasons whilst cosy inside.
The reason the cottage features on so many photos and postcards is that it is hard to imagine a better location. A historic property of character and charm, a beach on your doorstep with a private terrace looking to open sea. Polperro with its pubs, galleries, shops and restaurants less than a minute away. The peace of coastal path leading from steps behind. You can feel completely secluded yet so much life and activity is just outside - the best of both worlds!
Just a great stay, you have obviously done a great deal of work to make sure Willy Wilcox provides top class accommodation, property was very clean & welcome goodies were much appreciated. We will definitely be back. Pete Townsend, Wilts
We had an amazing time. What a beautiful cottage. We saw it 10 years ago and have talked about staying in it ever since, it surpassed all our expectations. Rosemary and Christopher Warren-Green, USA
Our fourth visit to this beautiful home where we both feel so comfortable. By far the nicest we have stayed in, in Polperro. The warmest of welcomes, warm, lights on – a real home from home in the prettiest of fishing villages.

We love to walk and hike, and the Coast Path is right out Willy Wilcox's back door. We love creature comforts and today's modern conveniences, and Willy fully satisfies those needs. We love beautiful scenery ... all around us at Willy.

My husband, 3 year old son and myself all enjoyed our stay at Willy Wilcox. It is perfectly located with amazing views. Tracey and Deborah were great in the lead up to our stay and we really appreciated the passes the hotel in Looe. Our son loved that. The cream teas were outstanding too and a lovely
Touch. The open fire was lovely too. We would definitely recommend. The only reason we didn't rate it 5 stars was due to the shower pressure.
We stayed in Willy Wilcox for 3 nights in November for my birthday. There was 4 mature couples and there was still plenty of space. I cannot fault the cottage in any way. the large living room has great views over the harbor, the well equipped (new ) kitchen was a great place for us all to have breakfast, and the 2 double 2 twin bedrooms were perfect. The position at the end of the harbor is second to none, and the Blue Peter Inn, one of the best pubs i have ever frequented, is 29 steps away. I have been visiting Polperro 2 or 3 times a year for the last 14 years and stayed in many different cottages, and this is without doubt the best cottage i have stayed in. My sister will be 50 in 2017, so we will be returning to Willy Wilcox for another stay. a great cottage in a great Cornish village.
What a fabulous place Willy Willcox cottage is! Very homely with everything you could need and more. What makes this cottage so special is the amazing location, you open the front door and you are on the beach which my dogs loved..
and the friendly shops and pubs are just round the corner.. Literally everything is on your doorstep.
Another nice touch were the cream teas laid out in the kitchen upon our arrival..
Loads of beautiful scenery and walks and to top it off we had amazing weather.
Willy Wilcox we will be back ...
Have just returned from a fabulous week at Willy Wilcox cottage. The cottage is absolutely amazing and perfect for our extended family holiday. Our days were spent swimming in the sea, walking the SW coastal path, fishing for mackerel, eating and drinking in the local pubs and restaurants, or just people watching from the cottage terrace. A wonderful week was had by all and we hope to return soon.

Had a week stay two families, what a location! Open the front door and you were on the quay side , down the steps and the beach was their, what more could you ask for , also a sun terrace to start the day each morning with a view that will be with us for a long time.
The little village had all you needed pubs, shops, takeaway , car free narrow roads , Would strongly recommend this property to a friend
or relative without a doubt.
Our family ranging in age from 2 years to 86 years couldn't believe their eyes on arriving at Willy Wilcox, and we had visited previously when our now grown up children were small!. Once again the cottage and its location took our breath away. Nothing has been left to chance by the owners to make this the most comfortable, welcoming home from home. Nothing can rival its position in this beautiful place. Fishing boats come and go outside your windows, you lie in bed and listen to the tides, you sit on the beautiful terrace and watch the activity on the little beach and the harbour below. Bliss.
Added to all this it goes without saying that the cottage is immaculately clean and superbly appointed with everything to hand to make self catering easy. At the same time the Blue Peter nearby will supply fabulous take away fish and chips and Michelle's restaurant on Little Green is the place to go for seafood caught by their own boat.
What more could anyone want?. We even flew the younger party from Robin Hood Airport in Doncaster to Newquay with a flight time of one hour in order to make the most of their time in Polperro.
Brilliant and friendly response from the owner to any queries top off a service second to none. Just need to organise the family now and book a return visit!.
Polperro is host to the Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing, plenty of pubs, restaurants, small shops and art galleries. The Eden Project is 30 minutes away.
