About the property

Townhome, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Our lovely townhouse is an incredible 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath two story home situated on a giant open space meadow near Tahoe City and only a short walk through the woods to the sandy beaches of Lake Tahoe. The Lake Forest Glen complex includes 2 pools, 4 tennis courts and a recently renovated hot tub and sauna. The grounds are incredibly beautiful with many pines, aspens and annual flowers. We are right next to the bike trail that takes you into Tahoe City and along the West Shore or up along the Truckee River. We are close to skiing at Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Homewood; ice skating at Squaw Valley, and lots of opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and snowball fights!

Ours is a two-story end unit with lots of light and privacy! The master suite has its own bathroom, walk-in closet and overlooks the meadow. Our furnishings are incredible and represent the true mountain ambiance you desire for your home away from home! There are knotty pine floors and trim, a stone fireplace, a recently redone kitchen with granite counters, hickory cabinets and all new appliances (gas stove, stainless side by side fridge with icemaker and water in door, dishwasher, disposal, etc) full separate laundry room...all overlooking the fabulous view!

We have a brand new flat screen HD TV with IPod dock, DVD player, high speed wireless internet, and a great stereo. Our deck overlooks the meadow and has an all-weather wicker table and chairs as well as a propane BBQ. The deck is south and west facing, so it is great for sunning, entertaining and watching great sunsets. We have a lockable ski locker for all your gear just outside the front entrance to make getting to and from the slopes easier!

This is the perfect place for you and your family to enjoy an easy and affordable vacation; everything you need to have fun and relax is right here!

We are happy to send you many more photos upon request!

About The Owner

Our family lives in Santa Barbara, CA, but we've spent time in Tahoe every summer for the past 20 years. After so many years of renting vacation cabins, it's always been our dream to have our own place at Tahoe, and now that dream has finally become a reality! Now we can spend so much more time at the lake, and we love to have other people enjoy our place when we can't be there!

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2007

Why The Owner chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

We've always loved Tahoe City because it's so charming and there's so much to do there - movies, restaurants, shopping, beaches, river rafting on the Truckee River, bike rides, skiing/snowboarding, riding the tram to Squaw Valley, hiking, etc. We fell in love with Lake Forest Glen when we stayed at a friend's place there, because it was so quiet, peaceful, and beautiful.

What makes this townhome unique

We love the fact that our townhouse sits right on the meadow. We take lots of walks down to the lake or Skylandia Park to watch the sunset or have a picnic. The kids love the pool, sauna and hot tub. Just sitting on the back deck looking at the meadow and smelling the pine trees feels like a fabulous vacation.

If you are looking for somewhere for the family this Summer Vacation this is the place. Plenty of room for everybody to have a separate bedroom and bathroom! Fully equipped Kitchen with addition of outside BBQ. Homely environment whether relaxing inside on the sofas or outside on the deck drinking wine and looking out to the meadow. A stones throw from the property are two beautiful pools - one for the kids to get rid of all that energy and an adult pool for a quiet read followed by the hot tub. Lovely tennis courts if you had a racquet and ball. A short stroll from the property is a lovely Cakery and it's a little further to the beach and waters edge where you can sit and watch the sun go down and the stars come out. Heaven - just wish we lived nearer.

The Townhouse is very Close to Tahoe City which has a lovely marina and restaurants plenty of shops and a small waters edge park. There was a farmers market while we were there. You can cycle from the house along the cycle trail. The property was clean, well equipped in every aspect. Patty was very helpful prior to our trip over from the UK and everything was left as we had agreed. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful destination - Emerald Bay was our favourite day trip. We had a great stay and hope to return again some day.

Beautiful condo in Tahoe City

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and the home was just lovely. It looks exactly as portrayed in the pictures with beautiful decor throughout, comfortable bedding, a homey feel, plenty of space, ample linens, and even thoughtful touches like boxes of tissues in several areas. Everything was super clean! The owner, Patty, was easy to get in touch with via email and was always responsive. We didn't end up using the pool, tennis courts, or hot tub given I happened to have a cold when we were there, but it was nice to have the amenities available.

The home was conveniently located a few minutes outside the main downtown part, and it was a quick drive to hit the restaurants but yet not be right in the hustle and bustle of it all. We really enjoyed the location. I'd definitely recommend this property to my friends.

Great location, lovely housing, and a wonderful host

  • 4 of 5

This is my first time using rental home. Patty has been wonderful to work with! Was able to hear back from her within a day, and got honest answers with my questions. The townhouse is clean, well maintained, and got all kitchenware, linen, grill, and more than we can ask for for a vacation. My entire family had a great time staying here, and would like to come back. The minor flaw of the stay was internet being a little slow, and can't get good phone signal. It is good in the sense that we would truly focus on spending time to relax, but little inconvenient when we need to research on places to go, things to do during our stay. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend this place! Thanks for such a cozy home!

Really Nice Condo in Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed here for one week. The condo was clean and well maintained. The owner (Patty) was quick to respond as we set up the reservation and answered all my questions. The furnishings and carpet are as pictured, newer, with little wear. The kitchen is very nice and stocked with everything. Bathrooms haven't been upgraded yet, but were clean and everything in working order. Location can't be beat - we biked into town daily, as well as all the way to Squaw and back along the Truckee River. Rolling hills, no problem for our 9 year old. Is also biking distance to Tahoe XC for some pretty fun mountain biking, and I assume XC skiing. The peanuts for the bluejays were fun for all of us 2-3 times per day (thanks!). The price was right and we were very happy.

Fantastic September 2014 Stay

  • 5 of 5

I took my 3 grandchildren for a week long stay at North Lake Tahoe. This townhome was perfect for all of us and centrally located. The house is decorated very nicely and all amenities are provided. It is located blocks from the lake. Looks out on a lovely pasture with wildlife and the patio includes a gas BBQ which was used a few times. There is a community pool that we frequented every night. We rode our bikes all the way to Squaw Valley and back and the townhome is just off the bike trail. There was cable television and numerous family movies to choose from as well. I have recommended this townhome to my co-workers and I plan to stay again. We even went zip-lining at Glakenbakin which was really rad! I highly recommend this rental for both its amenities and location.
