Greg and Gayle Crabtree
About Greg and Gayle Crabtree
We grew up in Bellingham, meeting when we became neighbors at age 12. We were good friends in high school and started dating after Greg left for college on the east coast. We married in 1984 and lived many places stateside and overseas. In 1996 we moved back to Bellingham. We have five grown children and 3 grandchildren. Gayle enjoys gardening and Greg enjoys water sports. We both enjoy running, hiking and travel.
Greg and Gayle Crabtree purchased this House in 2014
Why Greg and Gayle Crabtree chose Silver Beach
Suitable for a larger family, two small families, girlfriend getaway or similar. There are many outdoor activities available within walking distance or a short drive. The property overlooks a protected bay which is ideal for swimming, kayaking and stand up paddleboards. Lake Whatcom is a good sized lake which also works well for fishing, skiing, sailing, wake boarding, etc. Be aware that watercraft must be inspected for aquatic invasive species. More info at City of Bellingham website. If you do choose to stay here, be aware that in addition to the nightly fee, there is a $75 cleaning fee per stay.

Life is Better at the Lake
We had a very nice stay at the Crabtree's 3 bdrm home. The views of the lake were wonderful. We barbecued with friends and family while enjoying the view. The location is very convenient. The traffic noise was only noticeable when sitting on the deck during peak hours, but we just ignored it and played our music. The house is very clean and the Crabtree's were very gracious hosts.
Silver Beach Treasure
4 of us stayed at Greg and Gayles lovely home overlooking Lake Whatcom. House was updated, warm and welcoming. Would recommend closet or hanging space in room with the bunk beds - but we just shared closet space in other rooms. We had a great time, enjoyed a bit of September sunshine swinging on the porch swing and shared quiet time and fun at every meal. Using the kitchen was easy and trouble free. This is not the season for heading to the water - but they had numerous ways to enjoy the lake on warm summer days. Great place and reasonably priced.
This place provided everything that we needed. Lovely home. Thank you!!
Silver Lake Gem
We loved the little house on the lake! It had everything we needed to make our stay feel like a vacation: kayaks, fire pit for roasting marshmallows, porch swing, amazing sunsets. It was perfectly clean, and nicely appointed with linens, a Keurig, and tasteful decor. Gayle and Greg were very responsive and some of the most gracious hosts I have experienced. We can’t wait to come back!
Great location and house
We had a great time staying at Greg and Gayle’s home. It was the perfect location next to the water and parks and a great launching point for exploring the city. There were all the essentials there plus nice thoughtful touches. Greg and Gayle were easy to communicate with and very accommodating of our group. We would definitely stay again!
This property is located on the end of Lake Whatcom that is close to Bellingham proper. It is walking distance to trails and a short drive to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping.
