Hi we are Ken and Linda we bought villa Kalhada in 2008 after falling in love with the area on previous family holiday. We love our ' Turkish Home ' and try to spend as much time there as work commitments allow. We have made the villa as homely as possible and this is the second year we have decided to let the villa. We are always available by phone should you have any queries. We live in Wiltshire England with our children. We hope you enjoy your holiday and the Turkish hospitality.
Linda Woodman purchased this villa in 2008
We purchased the villa as the location offered everything we could want in a holiday destination, from vibrant cosmopolitan Fethiye to the tranquil rural villages hidden in the mountains as well as being near to the world famous beach of 'olu deniz'
The unique benefits of the villa are privacy and panoramic views
Villa Kalhada makes you feel welcome from the minute you walk through the door. It's layout makes the activity of being on holiday effortless; quite rightly it allows you to reach that relaxed state quickly.
Everything you need is on hand. A well stocked kitchen including huge fridge freezer allows you to do as little or as much food preparation as you want. The 4 bedrooms are comfortable and quiet with 3 bathrooms supporting them. The lounge area large and comfortable for those evenings you just fancy chilling out with a pizza and a movie. The main attraction to this property is its outside area. It really flows nicely. You can walk out first thing in the morning and within a few feet is your private pool...you can leave the pool and after drying with the plentiful supply of pool towels sit outside and eat breakfast. Food complete you can move to the kosk (outdoor covered sitting area full,of cushions) where you can chill, read or snooze. Next to the outdoor eating area is a large BBQ grill which we used a number of times especially after shopping in Fethiyes famous Tuesday market. With around 8 sun beds around the pool there is no getting up at 0500 to lay your towel out...it's your pool for the time you are there, they are your sun beds and you set the time and pace of your holiday...and that is the beauty of holiday in Villa Kalhada.
It's location is within 5 minutes walk of a Dolmus stop that gets you to Fethiye or Oludeniz within 20-25 mins for around 3TL. There really is no need for a car. Locally there are plenty of restaurants you can walk to. The CES market will deliver free of charge anything you don't want to carry incl crates of Effes, the large water containers and even the large water melons. There is a house mobile phone you can use to phone them or organise excursions over should you wish it. Umit, the chap who locally looks after the villas interests will help you if you need it as we found nothing was too much trouble for him.
We hope you enjoy the place as much as we have these past two years!
Where would I start, Fantastic Villa great location very clean and far enough away to relax on the veranda with a cold drink and watch the sunset while waiting to go out for the evening,
This is far the best and fully equipped Villa we have stayed in you won't need pool towels just beach towels if you intend on going to Billy's Beach.
Do not take travel plugs there are plenty.
The welcome pack is a great idea on arrival, Linda will arrange all your transfers if asked £80.00 return,
Umit met us and showed us round the Villa until we were satisfied.
The pool are is safe for all ages with a shallow end, and the most used part the BBQ.
The beds are very comfortable the rooms well laid out and maintained to a high standard, the nearby restaurants are very good we spent a fair amount of time at the candlelight restaurant a five minute walk,
Linda contacted us to make sure all was ok and Umit popped in on two occations to check all was ok very attentive customer service from beginning to end,
There is a Turkish phone in the villa so you can arrange deliveries from CES the local super market for food drink and meals.
We are already planning our return for longer next time it's very difficult to find a place with so much going for it a must in our eyes,
Home From Home.
gorgeous villa that has had a lot of time and effort put into making it a beautiful holiday home for people to enjoy! spotlessly clean & tidy with a pretty garden and safe swimming pool for all ages! would defiantly book up to go again!
We have recently returned from a 9 night stay at Villa Kalhada and this certainly is a stunning luxury villa. The interior design is beautiful and the villa is spotlessly clean. Set back off the main road with stunning views of the hills where you can sit on the veranda in the evening and watch the most amazing sunset. The customer service from the owner was superb, with contact throughout the booking process. Linda arranged transfers for us that were very reasonably priced. We were met at the villa and shown round and received a much appreciated welcome pack, the cold beer went down a treat. Linda contacted us during our stay to check everything was ok, which was a lovely touch. Great pool area cleaned every morning by the pool man, BBQ area which got well used. Local restaurants just 5 minutes walk away from the villa had plenty of choice. We particularly liked Sandinos (Indian / Turkish ) and The Candlelight Restaurant. I would highly recommend this villa and we are already planning to return again next year. Thanks Linda and Ken for providing us with a great holiday. Regards Andy
