About Gail Peters

We have owned Middle Barn for 14 years and used it for our personal enjoyment whilst following our interest in golf, walking, fishing, cycling, wildlife watching, photography and cooking.

Gail Peters purchased this cottage in 2001

Why Gail Peters chose Northumberland Coast

We love this area because it offers everything you could want. It combines the most beautiful countryside and coastline with lovely towns and villages and friendly people. There are a number of excellent pubs in the area which offer good ale & great food.

Well worth a visit!

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous cottage, spacious and cosy, super safe courtyard for dogs and young children. In a lovely peaceful location, close to great beaches and country walks. Only a short drive from many excellent restaurants. The beds in the cottage are extremely comfortable and guarantee a great nights sleep!

Travelling in our party were 4 adults, 2 children and a 7 month old Bernese Mountain Dog. The cottage easily catered for all our needs and was a real home from home for the week. Would definitely recommend it. The Watson Family, Glasgow

Lovely

  • 4 of 5

Lovely cottage very well furnished and equipped in a beautiful setting. We used it as a base for family attending a wedding nearby but it would also be perfect for a holiday.

Small problem with cleaning which was annoying but this was sorted and didn't spoil our break. We would definitely return and recommend.

Really happy, perfect location

  • 4 of 5

Hi Gail

I thought I would just drop you a line to say how much we enjoyed staying in your cottage. It was just perfect for us to be near our friends and able to visit local favourite places. It was lovely and warm and very well presented. We had excellent weather for the icing on the cake!

Hopefully we shall be returning before too long. Thank you for allowing us early entry, that made a lot of difference.

Regards

Jen O'Connor

Great and warm

  • 4 of 5

A lovely property in a very handy position.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and were able to reach all the obvious areas of Northumberland easily. Our only criticisms were the lack of any handsoap, washing-up liquid or spare bin bags. But well presented, well equipped (other than as mentioned) and, above all, warm (due mainly to the wood burner). We'd go again.

Fantastic property in great location

  • 5 of 5

Middle Barn is an extremely cosy and well equipped property which just makes for the perfect holiday whatever the season. There is a sheltered private courtyard which is lovely for breakfasts and lunches in the sunshine and BBQs in the evening in front of a log burning chiminea. But if it’s not warm enough to be outside the lounge is very comfortable with a log burning stove and TV with loads of channels & DVD player. The kitchen is a joy to cook in and is very well equipped. The cottage is in very good decorative order. The location is perfect for walking (especially with dogs!), visits to the beach (5 mins in the car), near to good pub food (Embleton and Newton) and we started our holiday with an on-line grocery order which was delivered as soon as we arrived. You are spoilt for choice where to go and what to do as Northumberland has so much to offer. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Middle Barn, we had a fantastic holiday.
