Although the location of this property was exactly what I needed, that’s where the good ends. There was a complete lack of communication with the property manager to the point where the night before I was supposed to arrive, I was calling VRBO for instructions. Upon arrival the facility was ok. It must be undergoing repairs because there were many little things that looked undone: doors with locks missing. there were doors that didn’t even open and elevators that weren’t working at night; we were on the 8th floor. Our specific unit had a musty smell when you entered, tiles were missing in the bathrooms, things were dirty, furniture was old and unkempt and we each had ONE towel for a 4 night stay. No hand towel or wash cloth or even a bath mat. And of course no laundry service. Will never stay here again.
Not as advertised...
We started off on the wrong foot when we were told by the front desk that we couldn't use the shuttle service, even though the listing states shuttle was included. Once we got to the condo we noticed a bad smell along with several items that needed to be fixed or replaced. There were missing tiles in the master bath, and the shower and sink did not drain properly. Overall the condo looked unkempt and needed a deep cleaning. The bedding and drapes were old and stained and we were only given 4 towels and no wash cloths for a 7 night stay. We tried to contact the owner multiple times but the responses were slow when they did come. Other minor issues: no tv remote, only 21 channels (most were shopping channels) and only 1 TV. Hairdryer didn't work. The Enclave was nice but I would look elsewhere.
It’s in a great location
It’s a great location and has access to pool and other amenities. It’s not fancy and needs some updating and the water pressure is not ideal but doable and gets the job done. I still had a great stay and it was comfortable.
This property was easy to find and the instructions given by the owner was spot on. The kitchen was updated and efficient. Wish the coffee pot was out and ready to go, however, it is in the cabinet if you are a coffee drinker. The master bath is mostly updated very nicely although the wall looks like it is still being renovated. The master bed is comfy. There is efficient room in the closet if needed. The 2nd room has 2 twin beds, which is a bonus. The 2nd bathroom is partially updated nicely, however, the tub is older and not as nice. The balcony is small but nice to enjoy the weather. The apartment itself is clean and tidy. There are not many channels on the T.V. but we were out most of the time exploring and enjoying the sites, so for us it worked out just fine. The pool is awesome, take advantage of that. Don't hesitate to contact the front office if you need any info, they are very pleasant. The shuttle service is nice. Make sure you give 24-hour notice if you are gonna take advantage of this. They also have continental breakfast if you are interested. I'd get there early to have more choices for food. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay. If you looking for a place to have at the end of the day to unwind, this place serves the purpose. We did not have to bother the owner for anything, that is the only reason I didn't rate that. We would definetly stay there again if we ever head back to Orlando.
Nice owner, but unit needs a lot of work and a top down complete cleaning
We arrived after a 7 hour drive at 4:44pm (check-in is 4:00) to find the apartment was not cleaned from the previous tenant. We were tired, had a cooler full of food for the fridge, and kids ready to hit the parks. As you can imagine, I was upset. After 2 hours of calling and messaging (also VRBO/Homeaway was No Help Here) the owner called me back - it was a misunderstanding, he thought it wasn't occupied until the next day. Ok, accidents happen and he was nice but that was two hours that I was freaked we were going to have to make an impromptu stay somewhere else. We left the place (took stuff back to the car) when we realized it wasn't clean, and he had someone come clean it within an hour or so of our phone conversation. Also, he gave me a small credit.
Clean is a subjective term (according to VRBO/Homeaway), so you need to keep that in mind when you book these places. Clean to this owner's housekeeper is spritzing cleaner around the room for a "clean smell", maybe a quick sweep (not under or behind things, though) a quick wipe of the bathrooms (behind the toilet seat or the extra bedroom shower doesn't count as a necessity to clean I guess). There were "tiny lower region hairs" in the second bathtub - it was obviously not cleaned. Dust/dirt/hair on the toilets between tank and seat. Tile throughout the apartment that needed to see some serious bleach/disinfectant. The tile on the master bath wall is literally falling down, I'll submit pics if I can. Thick dust on the floors next to the "couch" (not a couch but an uncomfortable futon), also we could never find the remote (I did tell the owner) so we didn't even watch TV, but I think it was only over-the-air anyway (no cable). I made my kids wear their shoes in the place at all times, we never cooked here because it was gross, and we left a day early because I couldn't stand it anymore. Also, the master bedroom mattress sinks in the middle and is terribly uncomfortable.
The apartment is excellently located within a 5-minute drive to Universal Studios, so that's a plus. But that's the only positive spin I can put on this review. I hope the owner just doesn't realize how bad this place is; as a rental owner myself, I would NEVER rent a place like this out to anyone. He needs to fire his housekeeper and hire one that actually cleans, fix the tile in the bathroom, buy some decent furniture for the place and replace that terrible mattress. Only then is this apartment worth renting out.

and great location I am pretty disappointed with this rental. The condo was very small and had an old dingy smell to it. Bedding was very old and dingy looking. Had to purchase blankets and pillows of my own. There was no extra linen available. Some of the appliances needed cleaning especially the toaster oven that I scrubbed clean and found it didn’t work. Fridge did not work properly even keeping the door completely shut at all times. Freezer took several days to make ice. End table had an inch of dust piled up. I found myself cleaning the minute I walked in. Master bathroom had tiles missing on the wall. I’m not super picky but this condo was Not worth the money.
