Photos and Description of this 5 bedroom holiday villa in Trogir - Villa Amarina Trogir - Split

Beautiful villa overlooking the sea, sought after interior decoration

Villa Amarina is a charming house in stone, with Dalmatian style, perfectly integrated in a natural landscape, in a green area, it seems like it has been there forever. The decoration is warm, light and cosy, as if the proud owner had just left the keys. The terraces have been cleverly arranged to make the most of the morning and evening sunny hours, some are shaded for the hours where there is more heat, and all have splendid views of the sea and the Adriatic coast. This idyllic house was built on a landscaped park of 1000 m2 that stimulates the senses, with its pine trees, shrubs and the Mediterranean scents. The villa is located near the top of the island and offers panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea, magnificent sunsets and starry skies. The villa has four bedrooms for adults, including one suite and a "sailor's room" for six children or teenagers so they can be somewhat independent from their parents. Five bathrooms serve all floors, including one in front of the pool. This distribution of the house allows all generations to find their own place in a harmonious environment. The accommodation has a capacity for fourteen people, eight adults and six teenagers or children. The historic centre of Trogir is the only city of Croatia -along with Dubrovnik- to have an UNESCO heritage site, which is at a 15 min. walking distance. The marina is at 20 min. if you go walking and at 5 min. by car. It is possible to sail to Split, Hrvar, Brac or to the North, and to the natural park of the Kornati islands. The Krka Natural Park is less than an hour away, it offers refreshing shaded walks and crystal clear waterfalls, you can lunch in the middle of the forest, and at the end there is a beautiful fjord. Villa Amarina can therefore be considered a peaceful and homely haven, only disturbed by the passage of some planes descending to the Airport of Split which is at 15 minutes, or the cry of pheasants in the morning, and the closeness to the day and night life of Trogir and Split, which in the summer is a great cosmopolitan city, twenty minutes by car from Trogir. The central position of Trogir in Dalmatia, allows to get there very quickly through the nearby airport and to Zadar on the North, and Split and Dubrovnik to the South. The construction of the villa was the subject of particular attention, every detail had to be a decorative element, to ensure visual comfort for its occupants. The beds are of very high quality. We will do everything you need for your satisfaction during your stay, if you wish to rent a boat, have the services of a cook or a waiter for a wine tasting evening. The tour of the villa begins with the "konoba" which in Croatian means a large room on the ground floor garden. It is a vast space which has a tempered climate as half of it is on the hillside, there is a seating area with a sofa and two elegant benches, a summer kitchen and a real relaxation complex consisting of 4 relaxation beds, a sauna, a steam, a shower and an outdoor pool. This large room opens onto a charming covered terrace beside the pool and garden, just meters from the barbecue, always with a fascinating view of the sea. On the ground floor there is a second kitchen and living room equipped with two adjacent terraces, one covered and facing east, ideal for breakfast when the sun is still low on the horizon, the other very spacious, south facing, covered by a wrought iron pergola. Enjoy the sunset during a friendly dinner. The first bedroom for adults is on this floor, with a bathroom on the next door. There are three other bedrooms on the upper floor, one suite with en suite bathroom and a terrace. The mattresses and box springs of 1.60 meters were selected to provide firm and comfortable sleeping. Each room has a different decoration, when you open the window you will see the sea looking like a salver on the horizon. A fourth bathroom serves two bedrooms. The laundry room is equipped with a large capacity washing machine (15 kg), a tumble dryer and ironing facilities. Finally, the top floor houses the House of sailors (or pirates?). Comfortable, decorated, air conditioned, independent with its own bathroom, it offers a living area, sleeping and games suitable for children aged 4-5 and for teenagers. The quality of the bedding is equivalent to those for the adults, 0.90*1,90 and allows accommodation for 6 additional people under very satisfactory conditions. Rent from Saturday to Saturday. If you would like to arrive on a different date during off season, please call me. INCLUDED IS A 3 HOURS/DAY MAID TO HELP YOU CLEAN THE VILLA AND MAKE THE BEDS.

The quest for the perfect holiday accommodation is always tricky if not impossible! Looking for a place where you really can wind down and leave the day-to-day behind you can be very challenging with some remaining unknowns.

With Villa Amarina we have found such a perfect place and we have enjoyed it to the last bit! The villa is spectacular!! Very warmly and tastefully decorated, amazing location allowing an unique view of the bay of Čiovo, very quiet yet close to the wonderful city of Trogir...you have it all!!

Additionally to that you have a great team on call for anything you might need. Stéphane, the owner, is super responsive and anticipates his guests needs which is so refreshing and makes the difference.

We will be back for sure and we can only recommend Villa Amarina!!

Beautiful house in a charming town

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 10 (two families with two children each, plus another married couple) just returned from a week stay at Villa Amarina and we couldn't have been more pleased.

First of all, the house is fantastic. The entire house has been recently remodeled to a very high standard. The kitchens (yes, two full kitchens) and bathrooms are modern and well appointed. The bedrooms are decently sized and very tastefully decorated. There is air conditioning throughout the house, with individual thermostats in each room. There is a large sauna and steam room just inside from the pool deck. The best part, however, is the view. Having coffee in the morning, eating dinner outside, or glass of wine at sunset while looking out at the sea and the islands is a sublime experience.

Anna, the concierge, was very helpful. She helped us book two dinners at home prepared by local chef Tatjana. Gordana, who comes each day to clean, is also a wealth of information about the area.

Trogir, the UNESCO listed local town, is both beautiful and pleasant to walk around. The local beaches (we went mostly to Okrug Gornji) are great and populated mostly by Croatians. The Adriatic is very clean and refreshing to swim in on a hot day. The restaurants we went to were mostly very good. Fresh ingredients, interesting local dishes, friendly service. The prices are more than fair. A half liter local beer in a bar on the beach costs just a few dollars. The locals we met couldn't have been nicer. The Dalmatians don't seem to be jaded by foreign tourists yet, and were always willing to talk and give advice. If you take a few minutes to learn a couple of words of Croatian it goes a long way. The sunset cruise around the islands that Anna arranged for us was a highlight.

Make sure to visit Primošten, about a 45 minute drive to the north.

Just a few words of caution. The house is on the top of a very steep hill, so a car is really a must if you have anyone in your group who is not extremely fit. There can also be a lot of traffic getting to and from the house. The house is on the island of Ćiovo, which is connected by a two lane bridge to mainland. The bridge is a bit of a choke point for traffic, so leave enough time if you have to be somewhere on time.

All in all, Villa Amarina is certainly one of the best properties we have ever rented, and this part of the Dalmatian Coast is not to be missed.

Beautiful house for luxurious holiday

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week in this very beautiful well kept house that is situated in a peaceful place on top of the hill. There was plenty of room for two families with altogether five children and all facilities were excellent. Our children preferred the pool but there was only ten minutes walk to the nearest beach and a longer beach was also nearby. We visited often in a simple restaurant (pizza, pasta, grilled meat) down the hill and purcased simple groceries from the grocery store opposite to it. Charming Trogir is from 20 minutes walk from the house and there were plenty of other restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and the owner was very helpful and responded quickly our emails. The only thing that should perhaps be considered beforehand is that the house is really on top of the hill and all routes there go really deeply upwards. It was really hard work (and exercise :)) climbing up there especially with trolleys and we could not have managed to get our water bottles and groceries there without a car. So renting a car or organizing a food delivery by the owner is recommended.

Our family including four small children has enjoined gorgeous two weeks in this beautiful villa on top of Trogir. The team running this property has worked perfectly and all our wishes were met in due course. The property offers conformable and stylish living, where the whole group can gather around tables, on teases or by the pool, while each one can find also some privacy if needed. Kitchens are well equipped. The bedrooms (except the large one with integrated bath and nice private terrace) are not too large, however sufficient. It should be noted, that the top “sailor” floor-room is directly connected to the staircase (no door), so the sounds from the rest of the house are not blocked, however for older children or young guys this should be no problem. Hamman and sauna are very nice and the pool has a section ideal for small children.

- Beautiful view on the sea

- Completely private area (on the edge of Trogir)

- Near airport (15min)

- On top of the hill, necessity to have a car or very good health condition

- Sometimes electricity goes out – not for long

- Concise bedrooms

Luxury Villa Amarina

  • 5 of 5

Delightful spacious villa in great location up a hill with fantastic views but only 15 mins walk to the town and beach. The villa worked very well for our family of 3 generations, plenty of space both inside and out. Kitchens equipped with every gadget you might need.

Master bedroom suite with private balcony just perfect and the 7 year old loved the children's attic room.

We hope to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa.
