Perfect location!

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay in this flat from Aug 4th to 9th, 2017. The location was excellent with lots within walking distance and the tube station around the corner for longer distances. It was comfortable and had loads of light during the day. The only negative is that we were woken up every morning as the Co-operative store underneath receives their deliveries at 5:30 am Monday to Friday and the motor and refrigeration in the truck is VERY loud even with our windows closed. Luckily we are early risers but this would be an issue for those who are not. We would definitely stay in this flat again.

Clean, comfortable, great location

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for three nights, and our twin 4 year old granddaughters joined us for one of those nights. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage there, even though the cleaning wasn't done yet. When we returned everything was nicely cleaned. There was plenty of space for the 2/4 of us. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. The location was excellent as it was convenient to Tottenham Court Road and Goodge tube stations.

It was a bit difficult to find when we first got there. The trick is to ignore the house numbers. It's right next door to the co-op store. Having the store below was helpful but we actually did more shopping over by Soho Square and carried stuff "home". The windows of the flat look out at the South Cress and Store Street.

One of the three nights (and fortunately not the one when our granddaughters were with us) it was VERY noisy. The bar just below the windows was packed and people were outside on the street drinking. The strange thing is that it was on a Thursday evening and not, as we would have expected, on Friday. And it didn't last too late -- it was quiet by midnight.

I would consider staying here again.

Perfect for our needs

  • 4 of 5

The flat is a bit shabbier than the pictures indicate (they are probably a little old), but everything was clean and worked fine. The bed is hard, but I actually love that. Our first couple of days it was rather hot, and as is the case most places in England, there is no air conditioning. This wasn't a huge problem but there is a busy pub just below and to the left of the apartment, so with open windows it was a bit noisy and smoky.

I love the neighborhood and it is a quick walk to numerous restaurants, the British Museum, and the Underground. The street itself isn't very busy or noisy, which is rare in a city. For a reasonably priced meal (including a full English breakfast) try Cafe Deco just down the street.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

Perfect flat for two couples, or parents and one teenager. Loved the proximity to the British Museum, Leicester Square, SOHO and Goodge St tube station. Also, great coffee shop right across the street.

Our only complaints were that there appeared to be some mold in the bathroom, as there was a musty odor. Also, they needed to provide a better skillet for cooking. Bed was firm and reasonably comfortable.

Nice apartment but there were issues

  • 3 of 5

There were many great features with this apartment, unfortunately there were also a few issues that could not be ignored.

Lets start with the positives. The location of this apartment is wonderful with the metro a block away, a supermarket in the same building and everything else within easy walking distance.

The layout of the apartment is really nice with the bedroom and the other sleeping area in the living room being separated by the entry and the bathroom. The windows in the living room were huge and we had a great view onto the buildings across the street. Since it was just before Christmas the buildings were lit up with lights and it was quite beautiful.

Our issues with this apartment had to do with the housekeeping. When we arrived we were told that the door on the fridge was broken and it would be fixed in a couple of days. We could still use it but it was a real pain to open. It was not fixed while we were there.

Another issue for us was the cleanliness of the unit. Someone needs to put some time into a bit of scrubbing in the bathroom and changing of the shower curtain. I know that these buildings are not new but it would just take a bit of effort to clean it up.

The last issue was the internet. It did not work when we got there and it took a day for them to get it working. A small issue but worth mentioning.

Any dealings we had with the property management company were very professional and they responded quickly. We were also able to get into the unit a couple of hours before the regular check in time and we really appreciated the early check in.

Would we stay here again? I think we would but only if we were sure that the issues mentioned were looked at.

Super apartment

  • 5 of 5

This super apartment was near enough to railway station and underground to make it easy to get to, and around, central London. It was situated on a quieter road (we had the windows open all night because of the warm weather and only the dustbin men woke us) and the supermarket underneath was very handy! It was close to Tottenham Court Rd and Oxford St and walkable to several theatres. Our two teenagers slept very well on the sofa bed and there were plenty of spare duvets and towels.

The only downsides were a lack of a sink plug in the bathroom and another couple of tea towels, but I'm sure they would have been provided, had we asked.

We stayed for 6 nights and would use the apartment again, if we revisited London.
