Clean and close to transport

  • 3 of 5

The apartment is ok but could use proper curtains instead of the roll up blinds since there is a huge gap between the blinds and the window. Therefor not offering much privacy and very little blockage of light at night. Checkin was smooth and on time. Easy walk to 2 subway stops.

This apartment is in a great location. Dealing with the agents was generally good. We did have a problem with the heating - it was too hot and it was arranged for it to be fixed the next day while we were out. This is when the other problem occurred; when the repairman left they locked the main security lock - for which we didn't have a key. This meant that arriving back at 7:30pm, we couldn't get in. Because it was after hours, the office was not open. By the time we managed to call the help line, it was 8:30 and then we had to wait 3 hours before a locksmith was sent - we got in at 11:50pm. This could have been solved if there was a staff member on duty with access keys to each apartment for such occasions. The apartment is quite comfortable. It could possibly be noisy in summer if you had the windows open because there is a small pub 2 doors down and there is usually a large gathering of students/office workers there each evening (but not Sat/Sun) until around 10:00pm. As indicated, the location is great, only 5 mins walk from the Montague St. entrance to the British Museum. There is a TESCO and Sainsbury's within 10 mins walk, and Goodge St and Tottenham Court road tube stops are handy. Apart from the heating and key issue, dealing with the agents was good. Perfect location!

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay in this flat from Aug 4th to 9th, 2017. The location was excellent with lots within walking distance and the tube station around the corner for longer distances. It was comfortable and had loads of light during the day. The only negative is that we were woken up every morning as the Co-operative store underneath receives their deliveries at 5:30 am Monday to Friday and the motor and refrigeration in the truck is VERY loud even with our windows closed. Luckily we are early risers but this would be an issue for those who are not. We would definitely stay in this flat again.

Clean, comfortable, great location

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for three nights, and our twin 4 year old granddaughters joined us for one of those nights. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage there, even though the cleaning wasn't done yet. When we returned everything was nicely cleaned. There was plenty of space for the 2/4 of us. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. The location was excellent as it was convenient to Tottenham Court Road and Goodge tube stations.

It was a bit difficult to find when we first got there. The trick is to ignore the house numbers. It's right next door to the co-op store. Having the store below was helpful but we actually did more shopping over by Soho Square and carried stuff "home". The windows of the flat look out at the South Cress and Store Street.

One of the three nights (and fortunately not the one when our granddaughters were with us) it was VERY noisy. The bar just below the windows was packed and people were outside on the street drinking. The strange thing is that it was on a Thursday evening and not, as we would have expected, on Friday. And it didn't last too late -- it was quiet by midnight.

I would consider staying here again.

Perfect for our needs

  • 4 of 5

The flat is a bit shabbier than the pictures indicate (they are probably a little old), but everything was clean and worked fine. The bed is hard, but I actually love that. Our first couple of days it was rather hot, and as is the case most places in England, there is no air conditioning. This wasn't a huge problem but there is a busy pub just below and to the left of the apartment, so with open windows it was a bit noisy and smoky.

I love the neighborhood and it is a quick walk to numerous restaurants, the British Museum, and the Underground. The street itself isn't very busy or noisy, which is rare in a city. For a reasonably priced meal (including a full English breakfast) try Cafe Deco just down the street.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

Perfect flat for two couples, or parents and one teenager. Loved the proximity to the British Museum, Leicester Square, SOHO and Goodge St tube station. Also, great coffee shop right across the street.

Our only complaints were that there appeared to be some mold in the bathroom, as there was a musty odor. Also, they needed to provide a better skillet for cooking. Bed was firm and reasonably comfortable.
