|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
This apartment is a perfect place to disconnect, for families but also for business travellers. It is light, bright and comfortable. It is in the middle of Kreuzberg. So, very central! And there are more apartments of this type in the same building.
Apartment very clean and secure. Functional kitchenette, with great espresso machine using the small coffee pads to brew. Good bed. Good temperature control. Plenty of hot water to shower. It would have benefited from 2 stands to put our suitcases on. It was a little cumbersome to work off the floor
We were a little concerned at first because of the large number of African males in the Goerlitzer Park selling light drugs. In reality, they are an asset. I get the feeling they want to keep the Park safe because any crime would adversely affect their drug business. We regularly walked through the Park after dark (4:00 PM) with no concern for safety. The area is somewhat counter culture, but no problems were apparent. Good bakeries and restaurants in the area, many open late and even early Sunday morning.
We were very pleased with our stay and will give you a very good evaluation on HomeAway. It was quiet, bed was very comfortable, hot water excellent, local bakeries excellent, even early Sunday morning, your coffee machine excellent.
Great location, within walking distance of U stations and sights and Wiener Straße has some great bars and restaurants. Free, unlimited parking alongside Görlitzer park is definitely a plus. Nice, clean and modern appartment. A bit on the small side but for the money it´s hard to beat. Would book again. The neighbourhood might scare some people. We did not have any problems, even at night, but people looking for a neighbourhood without people hanging around the spätis at night and drunks in the park might have to reconsider. But this is to be expected in Berlin.
The kitchen was well equipped so it was nice and easy to make breakfasts and lunches sometimes. The location was great - lots of restaurants well within walking distance and the bus stop is just down the road which was very convenient. The S and U bahns are a bit of a walk away. The weather was unseasonably hot the whole time we were there but the apartment did not accommodate for it. We asked for a fan but they had none. We even went to buy one ourselves but couldn't find any. As such, we had to sleep with the window open which was noisy as our apartment overlooked the terrace. The lack of airflow make it particularly difficult to sleep. It would probably be a lot better during cooler weather/with the window closed. The wifi was very slow and sometimes stopped working completely. The mattresses were quite thin and a bit uncomfy.
