About Pam Hinton
Left Washington, DC after 25 years of hard work in order to enjoy a slower pace. Gettysburg is not THAT much slower! There's lots to do and I've kept myself busy since moving here full time in 2004. My husband and I enjoy great food, music and local activities. We are happy to share this home as one you can kick back in and enjoy the ones your with.
Pam Hinton purchased this House in 2004
Why Pam Hinton chose Gettysburg
It was easy to identify Gettysburg as a place to move to. It's close to DC (2 hours), Baltimore (1.5 hours), Philly (2 hours), Pittsburgh (3 hours), etc. So, choosing this home was easy because it, too, is close to everything. This home is comfortable - one you can take your shoes off and plop on the sofa a read a book or plan your day's activities. It's close to everything and has plenty of space to park and play.
What makes this House unique
Gettysburg offers a plethora of great period homes and B&B's. Our house is a home. It's a kick back and relax kind of place. It's not historical (but surrounded by history and the battlefield), it's private, parking galore and a wonderful dining room and kitchen! The dining room is a great place to enjoy meals together. The table expands to comfortably seat 10 - we've squeezed in 12! With two bedrooms downstairs, the layout provides an option for guests who may not want to climb a lot of stairs to retire for the night. Oh, and we do allow good dogs -- just talk to the owner in advance to get permission. A small enclosed fenced in area is available for quick potty runs (and a clean up scooper is provided). We have possible day care options as well for your pup.
Contact host in advance to discuss.

Weekend Girls Trip
Wonderful time... close to everything we wanted to do. House was large enough for all 7 of us. But cozy and comfortable with all the amenities needed. Easy check in and owner went above and beyond to help us celebrate our 20th trip together.
Wonderful place to stay!

Great group! Thanks for the stay!!!
Great home for family vacation
Great vacation home to spend time with family/friends. Close proximity to historic Gettysburg. Everything you need to feel at home is available in this home.
Great Relaxing Family Getaway
This was the perfect experience for our family! The house was spacious (much bigger than it looked in the pictures), clean, and well stocked with all the necessities. We cooked most of our meals at the house and the kitchen had everything we could have needed for cooking and even some spices, etc! There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room for us to all sit together for meals in the dining room and hang out together in the living room, but still enough room for us to spread out and do our own thing as well if we had wanted. Very child friendly, too! We had a toddler along and we weren’t constantly worried about him breaking things.
Pam was great to work with! I emailed her ahead of time with questions and she got back to me right away. She was very welcoming and made sure we had her number if we needed anything. The information with the address and passcode came right on time and the code made coming and going so easy!
The house was easy to find, and for those looking to be close to town and the battlefield the location is very convenient. Also close to a grocery store!
Would HIGHLY recommend this location and property manager! Only wish we could have stayed longer!!
Thank you! Your family is welcome back anytime!!!
higly recommend this property!
Pam was great to work with. The location was awesome. Very close to everything. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch each morning drinking coffee and watching cars go by. We had 8 adults, and everyone had plenty of space. Dinner around the table together was a wonderful way to celebrate my father-in-laws 86th birthday. Thank you, Pam!
