Harness your inner culture vulture and immerse yourself in Berlin's vibrant art scene, which continues to attract creatives from all over the globe. Visit the famous Ausland Arts Centre, offering various experimental film and music festivals. All that cultural intake can be tiring stuff, so wind down in comfort after your busy day.
Prenzlauer Berg is a fashionable area north of Mitte. Interesting bars, bohemian cafés and kitsch boutiques dot its most frequented streets like Kastanienallee and Oderberger Straße. It doesn't have the edge that Kreuzberg has, but it's a great place to visit for its laid-back atmosphere.
To get a feel for the local area, head to the Mauerpark. This former border strip has a fleamarket on Sundays as well as spontaneous parties that last well into the night. The nearby Kulturbrauerei also offers frequent night time entertainment.
Location was excelent! Nice neibourhood, clean apartment and all information was available easily. The host didn't speak english at all, the phonecall from the airport was a bit difficult.
The appartment is clean and very efficient. The area in which the appartment is situatuated, Prenzlauer Berg, is very relaxed and there are many nice shops, restaurants, etc. The appartment was rather hot and the air rather dry.
The bedcover and pillow was filled with goose feathers, which is not ideal for allergic persons.
The beds, the furniture, the kitchen are very good.
The appartment is very complete.
only 12 minutes by tram to the city center
a lot of food shops, restaurants and cafés in the neighbourhood
The apartment is very quiet. The appartment is situated at a court with high buildings around and therefore rather dark.
The apartment was beautiful, well equipped and had an excellent location, with lots of pubs and restaurants near the corner and about 7 minutes from Alexanderplatz (on tram). Marcus (the owner) was really nice and he speaks english! It would have been better if the only window in the apartment could have been opened a bit wider (for more fresh air to get in), cause sometimes it got a bit hot inside.
Spacious, well appointed, central position. Marcus Young was a star in welcoming and ginving us information. Not too expensive, even for South africans. Needed on or two things for the kitchen, but we told Marcus. Not serious!
