Light, modern and complete with balcony. Although it’s located near the Opera, there’s nothing too overstated about this apartment. The kitchen is well equipped, so you and your partner can enjoy a pre show meal together at home. Word of warning though: after eating in this pleasant interior, you might not end up going out.
Can you cancan? There’s plenty of opportunity to kick up your heels in the 9th, which is infamous for its racy nightlife, but there’s plenty more salubrious attractions as well.
Home to the Olympia and Folies Bergère music halls, as well as the Opera House, here’s where you can taste old Gay Paris. So don your glad rags and strut your stuff. Or buy some at the legendary Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores or any of the countless shops on the Boulevard Haussmann.
Our taxi driver got lost and then stuck in traffic which made us more than two hours late from the planned meeting time. Jean was understanding and gracious. The apartment seemed larger than the pictures and was quiet and very comfortable, as was the bed. It was a good value for a Paris accommodation.
Good location and the apartment was pleasant, if under-equipped. On my wish list: a fan, comfortable chairs for sitting and reading or watching TV (are you supposed to sit on the bed?), a bread knife, small plates and a measuring jug. The kitchen could be better organised - space under the sink is wasted - and there would be room for a proper oven if storage was changed.
The stairs down to the lift level are a nuisance, especially when dealing with luggage.
The check-in was poor and the check-out disgracefully bad. The manager seems to be very disorganised and he didn't answer any of the texts which I sent him. When he arrived (late) for check-in he didn't have the keys with him. I had to phone Waytostay to get him to come for check-out, which happened nearly an hour after the time that we had agreed. Fortunately I had left plenty of time to get to the train station, but I was faced with the prospect of leaving my keys with the concierge and trying to retrieve my deposit later.
This was a nice, quiet apartment. I sat out on the balcony for coffee just about every morning. The place was the first floor which is actually the second floor, so I felt safe keeping my window and balcony door open at night for fresh air. The location was central to everything I was in in Paris to do. I walked everywhere including the Louvre. When I arrived, the apartment was stocked with fresh fruit, water, coffee and milk, everything I needed to get myself acclimated. There was even fresh cut flowers. Key locations one or two blocks away, a grocery store (same block), atm, taxi stand and a metro stop. This is a perfect apartment for one or two people, although the shower is narrow, so a large person would have trouble. It was perfect for me (taller than average, athletic build).
Convenient place to go places like restaurants, tourist spots , subways & other transportation & good value for your money :) absolutely recommendable:)
The apartment was exactly as described and shown on the website; it is compact and makes a good base to explore rather than being a place to relax in. The security is excellent.
The location relative to a central metro line is good and there is a good restaurant across the road. It's also walkable to the main attractions.
There were a few extras provided that made life as a tourist easier. The owner provided basic cooking staples such as oil salt tea and coffee. We really appreciated this when we first arrived. There was also a good range of maps and guide books provided.
