Beach or park? Just one of the difficult decisions you’ll have to make when you choose this apartment. Having said that, you may simply want to stay here, in this modern and light space. You can get your outdoor fix on the terrace, or Parc del Poble Nou is a few blocks down, just before you reach the Mediterranean.
The Rambla de Poble Nou - a long, tree-lined avenue bursting with local life, history and countless cute bars and cafés – forms the backbone to this area. But shhh, it’s our secret! Wondering what Barcelona’s Rambla was like before all the tourists arrived? Come to Poble Nou’s equivalent and you’ll find the charming answer. You can still metro to the centre. But the old, village vibe around here is a real pleasure. Time for a refreshing dip in the Med? The Mar Bella Beach is the city’s coolest.
"Friendly welcome from Eva. Great location. Well equipped kitchen with great fridge/freezer, cooking equipment, washing machine etc. Will use this apartment again. Thanks for a lovely stay in Poblenou."
Great location, minutes from the beach. Lots of options for drinks.
Very friendly and helpful flat owner (Eva)
Eva was very friendly and welcoming, we arrived late from the airport and she was there waiting with a bottle of wine! The apartment was everything we had hoped for, there were even extra fresh towels. The kitchen was well equipped and we were close to several convenience stores. There was good wifi which we weren't expecting.
An easy walk to the beach. I would recommend staying in Poble Nou, as it is very easy to get to the center (taxi's were not expensive) and the beach is much more quiet and relaxed than Barceloneta beach, so it was nice to be slightly further down from the hustle and bustle. It was nice to have the restaurants and cafes on our door stop also.
I would stay here again or recommend it to a friend! Eva also let us check out at 7 pm as our flight was late and we had no where to put our luggage which was very helpful and kind of her.
Only advice I would give, is ask Eva to show you how to open the front door, as there is a trick to this! Do not let taxis charge you a 'supplemental' charge, as this is only meant to be from the airport, but they trick tourists.
Fantastic location, very close to lovely beach and heaps of cafes and bars to chose from.
The property manager Eva was wonderful. Friendly, efficient and committed to ensuring everything was perfect. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Our only tiny negative of the whole stay was if you like a firmer or thicker pillow, you might want to bring one. As far as moans go that was as bad as it got! Amazing apartment, super close to the beach and the area of Poblenou is beautiful. Can't recommend enough :-) Better pillows. Maybe some more towels?
Checkin and checkout was very easy. The apartment was perfect for us as a family of four with two teenage girls.Good facilities, two bathrooms! The location was great, just 30 seconds walk to a traditional Spanish Ramblas ( not the main busy one in the centre of the city) which had a great assortment of restaurants and bars with a good family atmosphere. The prices were good and the tapas fabulous. We thought the location of the apartment was great for what we wanted, 2 mins to the beach, 2 mins walk to the tourist city tour bus stop and only a short taxi ride into the main centre or the marina (about 5euros). All in all a great stay in Barcelona and we will be back for sure. Nothing! Good value for money!
