About Karen Chapman, Broker UR Home Realty

The owner's of this property live in Northern California. They visit Black-Eyed Susan's Cottage about 3 times a year and generally stay 2 to 4 weeks.

Karen Chapman, Broker UR Home Realty purchased this cabin in 1999

Why Karen Chapman, Broker UR Home Realty chose Parks

They originally purchased the property when their daughter was attending Northern Arizona University. But, because they love the Flagstaff area so much, kept it after her graduation.

What makes this cabin unique

The hardwood floors throughout add to the cozy atmosphere of the cabin. The front entryway acts as a solar room on chilly winter mornings. That coupled with the woodstove make it cozy all year long. Brilliant stars in the night sky and uninterrupted views of the forest make this a special place.

Perfect little getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved it! Plenty of room for all of us, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children and our dogs. The weather was great, close enough to Flagstaff and Williams to go do activities, but still had that quiet outdoors cabin feeling. Would stay here again

Well-stocked kitchen. Wished it was closer to Grand Canyon but overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Overall a nice place to stay, starry nights, cool breezes, very comfy.

Clean and quaint. Nothing fancy. Great deck to just enjoy Northern Arizona weather.

I'd stay there again!

We came for graduation from NAU and we're looking for a big enough place for us and family.

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was beautiful and in a quiet location. It says it sleeps 10, but we only found beds for 8. I think the air mattress they had was maybe what made it 10. It was great overall, and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect cabin for grand canyon area

  • 5 of 5

We loved this property. As noted in the info, there is no wifi, cable, and cell reception is spotty which is awesome if you, like me, are there to relax and do not want any outside distractions, ie work. They do have a tv and bluray player along with a large collection of movies and shows so its not like theres no media. The setting was very peaceful and there are lots of trails in the area to check out, two i liked were the keystone sink (10-20 min walk from cabin) and the sycamore ridge trail which is a 30 min drive, both of which are dog friendly. The interior was perfect for a cabin and it had everytrhing we needed for our party of four plus our pooch. The owner was helpful and accomadating, my boston terrier loved it. The only rule was to leave it as you found it which I think is fair. Our 4 day grand canyon excursion was great and I loved sitting at the fire and stargazing with my GF and dog. We will probably come back in september to check out the canyon i little more only without my mom and stepdad. its a 1 hour drive from south rim of grand canyon and being from Pittsburgh, i had no idea how big the canyon is (220 miles long!) and shouldve booked for a week to be able to check it all out. Thanks for the awesome memories and I definitely recommend staying here and hope to stay again in the fall
