Owner's Response: The building frontal facade has scaffolding due to painting renovation. These scaffolding covering a single window of the apartment that is located in the living room. This window is accompanied by a fully blackout blind curtains as well as a closing double glazed windows that make it perfectly safe and usable, it can be open and close as before the the scaffolding structure has been installed. Therefore from the window enters the same light when the scaffolding was not mounted. Furthermore, since it is of painting works, there are no noises of work tools. In addition to this the terrace, which is the major plus of the house, is not reached in any way by the scaffolding and is ideally communicated accessible from the guests of the house. The furnitures are in perfect conditions, and I'm sure about it because I furnished the house, as recently as two years ago with all new furniture. The external chairs cushions are on the floor below and are not left outside to prevent from getting wet in case of rain. Finally the house is located in the heart of Trastevere, perhaps the best known district of central Rome, with a private terrace of over 120 square meters and it is very quiet making it really special considering that Trastevere is an especially busy neighborhood at night. Anyway, as always, we look at the customer comments to improve our service, especially when we see that they correspond to reality.

Great roof terrace

  • 3 of 5

Best aspect was the outside space on the roof terrace, rare in Rome. Tricky windy staircase to get to it though. Appartment is well appointed, fittings are new and everything very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Double bed was too hard to sleep on so we had to move into the rather cramped second bedroom, which has the staircase to the roof in it. The appartment was very dark as there are only two smallish windows, with the brightest room the second bedroom, even though it has no windows, only a roof light. It would have been nice to have some local info about supermarkets, bakers and restaurants marked on a little map. Michele was very easy to get hold of and very accommodating. Easy to walk to most attractions. If you're fit enough to make 4 floors of stairs (72) you don't need a Roma Pass as everything is reachable on foot!

Beautiful outside space

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was clean and well maintained. Internet access was very good. Close to all amenities (grocery & bakery) and most touring sites except the Vatican. The bus was easy to get to and an inexpensive option.

The owner was pleasant and easy to deal with and provided us with a rundown of the neighbourhood and options for getting around. There is a bar downstairs that can be a bit noisy at night if that is a concern, but being on the top floor, we didn't find it too bad. Getting the luggage upstairs was a bit trying as there is no elevator. It may be a problem if you had any mobility issues, but once you are settled in its all good.

The bed is basically on the floor and was a bit hard for my liking, despite the fact that it is new. My wife spent a couple of nights sleeping on the couch as she found it uncomfortable. The cooking facilities we good and most things that we needed were there (nobody seems to have a martini shaker though!). Dishwasher & laundry worked well & the rooftop afforded a good location for drying your clothing and a great spot for a glass of wine in the afternoon!

Traumhafte Tage in Rom

  • 5 of 5

Netter Empfang. Wir kommen wieder

Trastevere is one of the most popular district in Rome downtown, certainly the only where you can still meet the Roman people. A district rich in history with wonderful views and many important monuments and churches from the ancient Roman period up to the XIX century. Also very popular in Rome for the night movida with a lot of nice Restaurants and bars. Definitely a must.
