Bright, stylish newly built villa with easy indoor/outdoor living located in a wonderful position with grand views of the countryside!
Complete privacy, peace and quiet, lovely garden and pool, amazing views!
We stayed in this villa for two weeks in August 2016, and were very happy with our stay. The villa is in a beautiful location, and is kept in perfect condition. The outdoor area (including the pool and barbeque) is amazing, with the pool cleaned a few times a week to keep it as perfect as it appears in the pictures. Perama is a gorgeous, friendly village, and Panormos is amazing with beautiful beach and great restaurant. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this villa, and would highly recommend it.
Mr Yiannis greeted us at the villa and had provided some basic foods as a gift, knowing our late flight would make it hard for us to get breakfast supplies.
The villa was exactly as expected, clean and well kept. The kitchen had all the amenities you could want....the toasty machine was particularly handy.
All the beds were firm and comfy with plenty of wardrobe space.
We had a problem with the WiFi but it did occasionally work from the balcony!
The pool was about 6ft deep, just enough to keep us all 8 of us happy.
Some cleaners came once in a week as did the pool maintenance man. There is only one taverna in Perama and a car is essential. Bali beach is a must!!
The views of the mountains are spectacular and the property gets full sun throughout the day...ending on the balcony.
I would not change one thing about Villa Dafnos ll, a very welcoming, relaxing, enjoyable and peaceful experience. Karen.
We stayed in the villa for a week with 9 people. The villa is big, very privet and well equipped for a perfect family stay. When we arrived the villa was prepared with some groceries and clean. It was cleaned once again after a few days.
The owner and his translator are very friendly and ready to assist and give advise if necessary.
The village Perama is nice and close to the beach. It has many shops for fresh food and other supplies. The villa has served us well as a base for day trips to different parts of the island as well as for enjoying the swimming pool and barbecue dinners.
This beautiful and big villa is situated in a nice quiet town called Perama. It has many things to offer and very clean. It's very suitable for a big family. The owner made us feel very welcome with some delicious local products he provides. The people are very helpfull and kind. We were here with a family of 6, but the villa can accomodate up to 12 people. It has a nice and clean swimming pool, big bbq, wifi, satelite tv, 2 big bathrooms and a very good kitchen with everything you need. Be sure to rent a car and you will find very nice places nearby like Rethymnon, Bali, Margarites and Panorma. I can highly recommend this villa for anybody who is looking for a quiet and relaxing stay!
Panormo is a friendly, seaside village on the north coast of Crete. It has a very warm and friendly atmosphere and is an ideal holiday base for people wanting to stay in Crete. Panormo is located about 20 Kms east of Rethymno. It is a quiet touristic resort, which has developed strongly in recent years, without nevertheless losing its traditional form, which is based on the wild beauty of the Cretan landscape, the picturesque villages and narrow streets to explore, beautiful beaches in the village and easy access. It’s the perfect place for those who want to escape a little and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Cretan life.
The village has all the facilities and amenities one would need : well-stocked mini-markets, post office, pharmacy, a doctor’s office, a butcher's shop, bakery (hot, fresh bread every morning from 9am!), various gift shops and traditional seaside shops at very reasonable prices. There is a good selection of cafes and excellent traditional tavernas, overlooking the harbour, which offer a warm welcome and a beautiful setting to enjoy some traditional Cretan food as well as international dishes.
Panormo lies above the harbour and overlooks the beautiful little coves with lovely sandy beaches. In Panormo there are essentially two large beaches, with calm waters, since, as its name suggests, is a natural harbour. Limanaki beach lies in front of the village and is the port of Panormo. It is sandy and has clear waters. It is ideal for children, as it is shallow and protected on the east by a pier, where boats tie up. It is organised with umbrellas, sun beds and showers. The west beach, Lake, located just 200m from the village, is also a sandy beach with crystal waters.
From Panormo port frequent boat trips to the nearest coasts are organised and there is a variety of other activities one can do : sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling and water sports. Panormama Seafront Homes II complex it is situated very close to Creta Marine five star hotel, where within a 3 minute walk, you could benefit from its five star services such us spa, massage, tennis court, diving courses, scuba diving etc! It is also possible to rent fishing boats by the hour or day. Panormo offers a perfect holiday and safe environment for you and your children.
As far as sight seeing is concerned, the existence of an ancient city is confirmed in Panormo, based on the finding of the basilica church of Hagia Sophia, 500m southwest of the village. The 6th century B.C. basilica is regarded as one of the largest Paleochristian churches in Greece and the largest in Crete.
Also, traces of a fortress can be seen by the port.
The village hosts a folklore celebration on the 24th of June.
