Fabulous location with gardens leading into a sandy beach and onto the Coastal Walkway. Our huge terrace offers gorgeous views of the Mediterranean Sea. Ideal for a relaxing family holiday or romantic break. Located away from noisy tourist areas, but within easy walking distance of Cabopino Harbour, shops, bars and several superb restaurants. The newly completed Coastal Walkway, 6km between La Cala and Cabopino, runs alongside the apartment beach. The main double bedroom and the lounge have patio windows which afford fabulous views of the Med. These both open onto the large private terrace, which is ideal for 'al fresco' eating, lounging on the sunbeds, watching over the children in one of the 2 family pools or simply enjoying the view. The terrace is south west facing so gets the sun virtually all day. A stroll through the gardens leads to a clean, sandy beach complete with an excellent beach bar and restaurant, sunbeds and sun umbrellas. The modern kitchen is well equipped. A dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and mini oven and a halogen hob. The bathroom has a full sized bath with shower over. We have recently installed quietly efficient air conditioning units to both bedrooms and the living area. No charge is added for their use. Our apartment is kept spotlessly clean. A car isn't essential if you're planning a lazy holiday, as all amenities are within walking distance. TV channels include subscription Sports and Movie channels at no additional cost.
Climate: The Costa del Sol is named the sunny coast for good reason. It enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine per year. Even the winter months are generally warm and pleasant. Naturally, it can sometimes be wet or windy, but its a great way of escaping our freezing wintry weather. The apartment is heated, but you'll probably only need it for those clear, cool winter evenings. April, May, June, Sept and October are lovely months with sunny weather, but without the extreme heat of high summer. Ideal for children. Temperatures during July and August can be very high and care needs to be taken in the sun. For your comfort the apartment is air-conditioned.
Getting there: Flights to Malaga airport are plentiful and generally inexpensive. From Malaga airport it is around 25 minutes drive. To make life easier, an airport transfer service is available at a cost of around 100 Euro return. Hire cars may be collected from the airport. Several Car hire companies operate from the airport. But book on internet for bargains. There is an excellent train service to Fuengirola from the airport and then a bus service which runs every 20 minutes past the front of the apartment, from Marbella to Fuengirola. The bus stop is in front of the complex. Fares are low, but its not suitable for families with lots of luggage as the buses don't have much storage space.
Suitability: Ideally suited to families or couples seeking a quiet and relaxing beach holiday but with access to local attractions. Secure gardens with two swimming pools and two kiddies paddling pools all with sunbeds. The mainly residential nature of the apartments mean no large groups of noisy tourists. Bars and restaurants are close enough to get to on foot, but far enough away to cause no disturbance. The majority of my visitors simply enjoy relaxing on the terrace, lazing around the pool or wandering through the gate onto the safe, sandy beach. They may visit one of the excellent 'Chiringuitos' or beach bar/restaurants or enjoy a stroll along the Coastal Walkway or along the water's edge to Cabopino Marina. For winter visitors, it is ideally situated to get around the Costa Del Sol either by car or by public transport. Apartment is on 1st floor and accessible by lift so suitable for elderly or disabled. Accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, although there is a small step in the hallway.

About Susan Wilde
I discovered Spain in the sixties when we first visited Majorca on a family holiday. After retiring from financial services in 2012, I have worked part time to build a successful network marketing business alongside managing our holiday let. I live close to all my family in Glossop, a small market town just west of the Pennines in North Derbyshire. I have two adult sons and a young grandson.

Our family have enjoyed many years of Spanish holidays so the location was an obvious choice. I chose Marbellamar specifically for the location, right on the beach, and for the quiet area. It reminded me of many of my childhood family holidays. I wanted a place to relax, unwind and de-stress so access to public transport was important to me, as I prefer not to drive on holiday. My priority was for a property within an easy walk to nice bars, restaurants, shops and a bank. And to be able to spend the day on the beach with grandchildren without the chore of a long, tired and grumpy walk back to the apartment. I had a vision of a hassle free, peaceful and relaxing holiday home but with enough going on to prevent boredom. And Marbellamar fit the bill perfectly!
What makes this Apartment unique
Two swimming pools, a kiddie pool and a baby pool would be lovely anywhere, but as Marbellamar is mainly residential and Spanish holiday homes, they are quiet and even empty at times. The Coastal Walkway goes directly along our gardens. It is a fabulous feature, offering easy access along the coast and some really pleasant evening strolls. The proximity of Lidl, Supersol, a beach shop, newsagents, cash machines, a pharmacy and a range of restaurants, cafes and bars make your holiday hassle free. There's even a Mcdonalds just a short walk away, along the coastal walkway.

Home from Home - Relaxing comfortable apartment
There was everything you needed in this apartment to make the holiday enjoyable. Lovely views of the beach and sea just minutes away and great to sunbathe on the huge terrace of the apartment. The kitchen was well equipped if you wanted to eat in with microwave and 4 hob top and small oven made easy with Lidl and many other supermarkets just across the road and easy to walk too over the bridge. We had a car but noticed the bus stop just across the road to Marbella and out of the door with buses to Fuengerola and Malaga. A nice bar on the beach (Luna Beach) specialising in fish on the bbq and many sunbeds to hire. The pools to the apartment were very clean but no sunbeds around them so not really used. The grounds were kept very clean and maintenance jet washing the paths. The apartment was very spacious great having 2 bedrooms and would hope to visit again.
Thank you for your lovely review. The pools are always very quiet, generally because the complex is mainly residential and our Spanish neighbours never lie in the sun by the pool. Personally, I love having the pools to myself most of the time. Glad you had a lovely relaxed time and we'd love to welcome you back in future.
lovely apartment, fantastic location
We had a lovely stay here. The apartment was large and very clean and we loved the huge terrace and amazing views out to sea.
Pleasant and easy walks to Cabopino and surrounding beaches. The boardwalk made everything very accessible and we had an enjoyable walk to La Cala.
The apartment was well equipped, however we would have appreciated some plastic cups and plates for our small children.
Spectacular view in a clean well equipped condo
The condo was super clean, had a spectacular view. and a wonderful boardwalk along the beach in both directions. The owner communicated well and responded positively to any questions we had. The restaurant below had great food and often had live music. The grocery shops across the street offered anything we needed and there are ATMs and a hardware store as well. Note however that the queen sized bed is only 54 inches which is a double in Canada and the US. It was comfortable however. We are seniors and stayed for 38 days . Would highly recommend this unit to others. Oh yes dont miss the Calahonda nature area across the street . While we had a car we also found the buses and the trains easy to navigate and reasonably priced.

We don't advertise a Queen sized bed. It is just a standard double, so same as Canadian sizes. Nice to know you found it comfortable though.

Relaxing comfortable apartment.Lovely location.
Fabulous location with lovely sea views from the balcony.So relaxing sitting on the balcony just watching the world go by.Fantastic beach bar ,Luna just below the apartment catering for most needs.The apartment itself is very nicely furnished with everything you need.The process of entering and leaving was made simple with Sue the owner.Bus stop right outside to Marbella and Fuengirola which was great -didnt need a car.There were a few restaurants across the bridge and a Supersol and Lidl so well catered for.There is a new boardwalk right alongside the beach which stretches for about 4 miles and is dotted with nice beach bars.Cabopino marina is a short walk wih a few bars and restaurants.All in all a lovely stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a nice relaxing holiday.

Super location, ideal for the beach or the pool, clean and tidy and great for cafes or shops
We enjoyed our stay, the apartment is ideal for anyone from couples to small families - the pool is clean and well kept, the beach is great with bars and loungers available all day long. Lidl is only across the bridge and is open 9-10pm and has a great choice of food and very cheap wine!

The location was perfect, great beach, lovely resturants close by. The owner sent the key well in advance for the weeks stay and was very helpful. The apartment could do with some updating and the second bedroom for adults was small and lacked an outside window, the main bedroom was very spacious, plus loads of wardrobe space in both bedrooms with plenty of hangers. The terrace was lovely overlooking the beach and the swimming pools were always clean and quiet. We would definitely go back, loved the holiday.

A ten minute stroll along the beach or the fabulous Coastal Walkway brings you to pretty Cabopino harbour. This unspoilt marina boasts several excellent restaurants and bars, water sports, dolphin spotting trips, and beach bars. In the opposite direction, the fantastic new Coastal Walkway runs along the beach for 6km to the Spanish town of La Cala. Situated in a quiet, mainly residential complex, the apartment is conveniently located two minutes walk from supermarkets, cash machine, newsagent, beach shop and a couple of bars and restaurants. The Luna Beach restaurant is highly recommended with excellent food, and weekend Flamenco Shows.We are situated 15 Km from Marbella, in Calahonda area. 25 min. drive from Málaga Airport, (airport transfers are available if required) A hire car or local excursion enables easy access to pretty Andalucian villages, the Barbary apes of Gibraltar, the stunning old town of Ronda, or further afield Cadiz, Seville and the Alhambra Palace at Granada. A newly built zoo, water park, are all within 15mins drive or take a bus from the front door. A wide range of lively bars and restaurants are 500 metres away in Calahonda, or sample the fabulous nightlife of Marbella or Puerto Banus.

I try to be flexible wherever I can. Available for arrivals after 3pm and, on departure vacate prior to 11am to allow for cleaning. On request, I can amend these times if possible.
