About the property

Welcome to Haven Cottage, an Stone built two bedroom holiday cottage located in the quaint village of Snainton, just a few miles from the popular seaside resort of Scarborough.

If you're looking for a cottage in Scarborough it doesn't come much better than this. Haven Cottage dates back to the 17th century when it was originally a barn, and is built from a fantastic stone construction. Original beams are still visible in the living room, giving this incredible cottage a truly classic feel.

Downstairs there is the living room, with an open log fire (ideal for those winter breaks). Next to the living room is the ample sized kitchen, fully fitted & equipped, with all the appliances you need.

Heading up the narrow staircase you reach the first floor. The master bedroom is located here, and contains a four poster bed, ideal for those romantic getaways. The kids will love the second bedroom, which contains wooden bunk beds, the fight for the top bunk may be the first thing you have to deal with when you arrive. The bathroom is here too, it contains a toilet, bath, and sink.

There is a small area in front of the cottage, with a bistro set . This is also the area where you can park (private parking space) if you are driving to the cottage.

Free Wifi is available at the cottage

This Snainton cottage is located on the main high street of Snainton, so it is easy to find, and you are close to all local amenities. The local village pub 'The Peacock' is directly across the road from the cottage, for those great evening drinks (and daytime ones too).As the cottage is near the High Street and road from Pickering to Scarborough there is some road noise from traffic.

The local fish & chip shop, which has won national awards, is located a 60 second walk along the road. The local shop is just a few minutes away too, for all those grocery needs.

This Scarborough holiday cottage is ideal for a huge range of different holidays. If you're looking for the classic Scarborough experience, you can be at the beach in just 20 minutes (driving) or 20 minutes to the vast expanse of the North York Moors and Dalby forrest

The village of Snainton is located midway between Scarborough & Pickering in the Vale of Pickering, one of the most scenic areas in the North of England. The village of Brompton (birthplace of aviation), Wykeham, and East & West Ayton are also nearby, and ready to be explored.

Head into Dalby Forest if you want something a little more active (located just a few minutes drive away). There are mountain biking trails, walks, picnic areas, and thousands of acres of forest to explore.

Pickering is well known for its fantastic market town atmosphere. Take a ride to Whitby on the classic North Yorkshire Moors Railway, or just enjoy this town.

One of the UK's leading theme parks, Flamingo Land, is located just a 20 minute drive away. It also contains one of the North's best zoos.

There are few areas in the UK that are more suited for a wide range of different holidays than Snainton. So whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, seaside holiday, or adventure break, why not book today, and enjoy what will turn out to be a memorable holiday.

Lovely cottage with everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Stay for three nights at haven cottage and had a very comfortable and relaxing time. The cottage has everything you need in it. Would highly recommend! Only 15 mins drive to Scarborough and close enough to Whitby and Bridlington. There is a pub across the road, a chippy and shop all close by. Only downside is a part of low ceiling in the kitchen which any 6 foot person will definitely bang there head on at some point.

Great property and very good value for money.

  • 5 of 5

The property was very user friendly and well equipped. It was very clean and the owner was easy to contact and very helpful. It was good and central to get to places of interest.

The property is situated on a very busy road and you need to be very confident at reverse parking. Fortunately my husband is.

All in all great value for money and a lovely property.

Very lovely. Good size and very well kept.

  • 4 of 5

Had a great stay. Unfortunately it was warm when we stayed and as the cottage is on a very busy main road it was obviously more noisy when we opened the windows.

In a great location for going places (in car first) for dog walking and not far to scarborough at all.
