The "Quinta da princesa Barbara" is located "rua da Fonte", the "street of the fountain", fountain actually present a little further. This street is itself situated in the hamlet of Cabeço da Vella, freguesia (district section) of Serra do Bouro, municipality of Caldas da Rainha (Queen Baths), in the heart of the "Costa de Prata" The "Silver Coast" or "Silver Coast".
It has all modern comforts but also satellite TV, WIFI Internet connection, dishwasher, washing machine, electric dryer, fridge and freezer. a freezer, a gas cooker and an electric oven, a microwave, a hair dryer, an iron, central heating by heat pump, ...
Sheets, towels, tea towels, tablecloths, ... are provided. The bedding is new and the mattresses are particularly thick. The house is strictly non-smoking. There are a dozen steps to climb between the street and the house so, unfortunately, it is not accessible to people with disabilities.
A cleaning is included at the end of the stay and if you wish a person of confidence can assure the cleaning one or several times a week.
There are 6 rooms. All rooms are equipped with two twin beds, a chest of drawers, two chairs, a luggage rack and a wardrobe. There are also two extra beds in one of the two large bedrooms.
There is a classic bathroom and three shower rooms.
There is also a kitchen-dining room with a family table extending up to 12 people (but you prefer to eat outside) and a very beautiful covered terrace (so in the shade) in front, equipped with a huge table with two benches + the traditional barbecue.
Facing the house, a large swimming pool, unheated, in Portuguese mosaics. Eight deck chairs and six garden chairs complete the equipment.
The baby foot, which has just been delivered, is placed on the terrace.
The property of about 1000 square meters, located in a country environment, is totally private providing total privacy. There is not any wind around the pool or in the garden which is a plus in Portugal in a region that may be windy enough. The "privacy" side is one of the key elements of this house. The garden is lush and well shaded.
