Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Saint-Broladre - Rural Country Cottage

Close to major tourist attractions, sandy beaches and recreational activities

Our well-appointed, self-catering cottage sleeps 4+ persons. It is the larger of 2 cottages in the extensive grounds of an attractive renovated farmhouse set in a secluded and tranquil location in the Bay of Mont St Michel conservation area. Close to Le Mont St Michel, Dinard Airport, St Malo, Dinan, Cancale, many sandy beaches, various recreational activities and a number of other renowned tourist sights.

The double bed sleeps two people comfortably. It is situated on the ground floor. The living area, also on the ground floor, consists of a double sofa bed and 2 easy chairs with a 32'' flat screen TV (English speaking channels only) and a DVD player (DVDs are available upon request). The sofa bed can accommodate a further one or two people. Two single beds are situated on the upper partially enclosed bedroom on the mezzanine floor, suitable for both children or adults. The surroundings consist of a large gravel courtyard, very large, safe enclosed area, field and lawn area with pond. The large field area and part of the lawn area with pond are currently not up to normal standard due to proposed work behind the main farmhouse.

Our guests have access to all surrounding land and the large enclosed area which contains a solar heated steel pro frame above ground pool measuring 4.88m x 3.05m x 1.07m deep, which is set up during the summer months, childrens' swings, a Badminton net with shuttlecocks and rackets and a small arbour with loungers. Opposite the cottage is a covered shaded seating area, particularly suitable for children and adults alike, which is lit by coloured solar lanterns at night. A barbecue is also available upon request. We are well-equipped for young children and provide a childrens table and chairs, traditional crib or travel cot, high chair, toddlers seat attached to a chair, baby bath and two childrens car seats.

WiFi is continuously available within the cottage and surrounding area.

There is no public transport near the property and reliance on your own motor vehicle is necessary. However, ample parking spaces are provided at the property inclusive of the charge. My husband, Steve, is able to provide a taxi service to and from the St Malo Channel Port and Dinard Airport at a reasonable cost.

This property is non-smoking. Pets may be permitted by prior agreement.

To summarise: the property is set in rural countryside. Ideal if you are looking for space and tranquility but within a short drive to shops, recreational activities, tourist destinations and sandy beaches.

About Elizabeth Anne and Steve

My husband and I are English and own the advertised property in Brittany France. My husband speaks French and I speak Norwegian. We are both keen on decorating, building, DIY and gardening. My husband has renovated the complete property over a number of years. We both live in the main house on the property and are still renovating the property, this time, adding additional bedrooms and bathrooms. We love France and the culture. We are both young retirees and spend much time looking after the grandchildren, in England and in France, when not re-decorating. We both love children and enjoy having them to stay in France especially, as it is a wonderland for them as there are so many places to explore.

Comfortable apartment - lovely gardens

The owners could not do enough for us were very kind and the children loved the gardens.

The location is perfect - there is lots to do and even on wet days there were fun things. Really good aquarium, which

was great on a wet day.

There were lots of fab beaches and really nice restaurants. Perfect situation for exploring Brittany.

A fabulous holidays in a lovely cottage

We had a fantastic holiday in a beautiful part of France. Our cottage was lovely and our hosts Ann and Steve most welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our 2 children also enjoyed their holiday immensely. We had lots of space outside to relax and explore and we enjoyed the pool also. We hope to return to this lovely cottage and hosts and to this wonderful area next year. Many thanks Ann and Steve for your kindness and hospitality. Tommy, Attracta, Aoife and Hannah.

Beautiful setting, peaceful and central to sights.

We had a really enjoyable stay, the gite was very comfortable and clean and good value for money. Our own little cottage, a home from home, with every facility, including a washing machine which was a real bonus. The space outside was really good; the kids loved running around and were free to explore the fields and gardens. Anne and Steve are very friendly, they were also very helpful with directions and ideas of things to do and provided a good welcome pack of milk, bread, croissants, butter, jam, tea and coffee, etc. Lots to see and do nearby. We went to beautiful beaches, Le Mont St Michel, St Malo, Mont Dol, the zoo and Aquarium, all of which were within a 30 minute drive or less. We also spent time, on loungers, on the the huge lawn right next to the cottage in the sunshine while the kids played in the paddling pool. The kids also had their own little shaded den area with childrens' picnic furniture. Do not miss out on crepes and galletes at the nearby restaurant, the Telegraph. It sits beside a windmill and has a small playground and some animals. On a warm or sunny day you can sit outside and eat the wonderful food whilst keeping an eye on the kids playing.

Agréable séjour dans un gîte idéal avec des enfants.

Gîte dans une belle propriété fleurie et bien entretenue qui correspond à la description de l'annonce. Lieu idéal avec des enfants: grand jardin avec piscine, balançoires, jeu de badminton, ballons en extérieur et tout ce qu'il faut notamment pour des enfants en bas âges (petit lit, chaise haute, baignoire). Un plus aurait été d'avoir la télévision avec des chaînes françaises. Agréable séjour chez Elizabeth-Anne et Steve qui nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux tout en étant discrets.

Un séjour inoubliable

Le gîte et la propriété sont vraiment très agréables.

Très bien situés entre le Mt St Michel et St Malo.

Les enfants se sont beaucoup amusés : entre la balançoire, le badminton, le foot (pour la piscine il faisait encore un peu froid.😀)

Nous nous sommes resourcés en famille.

Steeve et Elisabeth Anne sont des personnes adorables, à l'écoute et discrètes.

Directions to the property:

From Dinard Airport and/or channel ports, follow signs to Mont St Michel. Follow the N176 to Dol de Bretagne or Pontorson. Between Dol de Bretagne and Pontorson take the D87 signposted to St Broladre. Follow the D87 towards St Broladre for 3 kilometers. From St Broladre, at the only traffic lights, take the D87 up the steep hill, passing the convent and a small hamlet Les Muriaux. Continue straight on to Le Roche Macon where you will find La Baudouinais on the right of the S-Bend.
