About Richard Board

Julie and I have been operating serviced self catering apartments in Canterbury since 2006. We have accommodated 1,200 guests in our 4 apartments in the last 10 years.

In 2004 we traveled around the world for 333 days with our 9 and 10 year old boys. We share our travel stories with many of the guests who stay with us and have come from the places we visited.

Our business is to make your stay a great one. We will meet you at the railway station, take you shopping, buy your groceries and do whatever it takes. We are full time at your disposal.

Great location and comfortable.

Stayed for three nights while touring the area and loved staying in the apartment. Location was convenient, with grocery store, restaurants, etc. close. Apartment had everything we needed for our stay. Richard met us on our arrival and gave us a nice overview of the apartment and where everything was located. Highly recommend.

Great Spot

Apartment was clean, well appointed and spacious. Excellent location and quiet at night, would stay there again. Easy connection to Canterbury West station for London access and minutes from downtown and the Cathedral.

Great apartment

The listing was accurate as to the description.

The property was very clean, very well maintained and very comfortable.

The owner provided all we needed.

There is an off-street parking space.

The flat is 2mins walk to Canterbury city centre and 7mins walk to the Cathedral

There is a small local supermarket, newsagent, green grocer, off licence, Chinese takeaway, Indian Restaurant, Mexican cantina, fish n chip shop, 3 pubs serving meals - all these within 2mins walking distance.

A recommander

Adresse idéale pour visiter Canterbury ( 5 minutes à pieds ! du centre commercial ET touristique ) et le Kent, si l'envie vous prend : Rochester, Margate ( station balnéaire défraîchie mais qui tend à renaître ), Ramsgate,

Whitstable ( charmante rue commerçante ) sont à une poignée de miles.

L'appartement est très bien équipé : belle cuisine ( lave-vaisselle, lave-linge

etc), deux grandes chambres, SDB avec douche ET baignoire, salle de séjour cosy avec TV, lecteur DVD, WIFI... et parking ( quand on sait que tout stationnement est payant, ce n'est pas négligeable). Seul (petit) bémol:

la (très) petite fenêtre du séjour qui l'assombrit de façon constante. Heureusement la pièce bénéficie d'un éclairage judicieux et de la clarté naturelle de la salle à manger ( grande baie ).

Excellent contact avec M. BOARD, disponible, attentif et, à l'image de son

appartement, charmant.

Top huisje op top locatie

Na super contact gehad te hebben met de eigenaar, zijn we afgelopen donderdag aangekomen op de locatie. De eigenaar heeft ons kort rondgeleid en alles uitgelegd. Alles heel vriendelijk. Huisje is voorzien van zeep/toiletpapier/wasmiddel/oploskoffie en thee. Iets waar je in Nederland meestal zelf voor moet zorgen. Er stonden zelfs chocolaatjes en andere lekkernijen op tafel voor ontvangst.

Alles tiptop schoon. Het zijn vanaf het huisje 5 minuten lopen naar hartje centrum en ook een supermarkt is direct om de hoek. Ook het station is op steenworp afstand. Kortom, wij komen hier zeker weer terug.

Owner's Response: Guest translation: Start: "Having had great contact to have the owner, we arrived last Thursday at the site. The owner made us briefly around and explained everything. All very friendly. Cottage includes soap / toilet paper / soap / instant coffee and tea. Something you usually Netherlands must provide their own. There were even chocolates and other goodies on the table for reception. All tiptop clean. Being from the house five minutes walk to the center and a convenience store is right around the corner.
