A four bedroom town house in the heart of Honfleur- located two minutes walk from the Place Sainte Catherine and the old harbour. Originally two former fishermen cottages it has been fully restored and now houses an open plan ground floor with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting room with charming inglenook fireplace. The house has three comfortable double bedrooms , and an additional attic room with a captain's bed under the eaves. It has two large bathrooms (one with bath/shower and one with shower only). It is tastefully furnished and provides the great combination of a peaceful getaway that is right in the heart of this beautiful old town.

Unique charming fisherman's cottage in the heart of Honfleur
This gorgeous old fisherman's cottage was like being Alice in Wonderland falling down the rabbit hole. It was like no other rental accommodation we have stayed in. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage boys who were like kids in a candy store when they first went in to explore this quaint, authentic cottage. It was on a miniature scale with low exposed wooden beam ceilings and low door lintels and steep, narrow winding stairs; yet the cottage had plenty of room with an open living, dining and kitchen area. The cottage is over 3 levels with the living area on the ground floor and the bathrooms on the third level. There were 4 double beds and a captain's bunk for a single (sleeps 9). It was clean and tastefully furnished. There was a full kitchen where one could easily prepare a family meal, 2 full bathrooms and a washing machine in the kitchen. There was stable, fast internet - a must with 3 connected teenagers and parents who need to keep in touch with business. The cottage is a 2 minute walk from the centre square of Honfleur where one can find the beautiful St Catherine's Church and the old basin with its myriad restaurants. There are many fabulous bookstores and art galleries to explore. The most tranquil find of our trip was a walk to the Grace Plateau up the steep hill behind Honfleur town where there is Our Lady of Grace Church, a lovely forest for the children to play and gorgeous view over Honfleur, Normandy Bridge and the estuary of the Seine River. We have no hesitation recommending this accommodation to anyone wanting an authentic experience n the heart of Honfleur.
Janelle - thank you for your lovely review . Glad you had a good stay
Charming house, but not for everyone
The property has been renovated, but not practical. The reviews about steep stairs are not to be underestimated. We were unable to bring suitcases up to the rooms. The toilet in the kitchen leaked and was unusable. The cleanliness left a little to be desired, especially when the owner expects the renters to leave the house clean. There is a high level of humidity in the house and since we were unable to turn on the heat, there is a musty odor that is quite unpleasant. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and there was hot water. The location is also amazing.
Very convenient location for walking into town to dinner and shopping. Comfortable accommodations.
Tutto molto, molto bello. Siamo rimasti tutti incantati.
