The cottage is available for family holidays and fishing breaks, so is also well equipped for the colder winter days. The living room also has a radiant electric fire to keep you cozy after a day's fishing, and the spacious entrance porch / cloakroom is ideal fro storing wet fishing tackle or boating gear.
The location of wherry cottage is superb lovely to wake up next to the river ,and good for fishing from. ,handy for all amenities and local restaurants. The railway station is but a 10 minutes walk away .We had a lovely week and hope to go back again. highly recommend.
Much needed break booked at a quiet time of the year.
Good communication from The Owner David Beard made for easy booking and information .
Found Wherry Cottage location to be as described, in an excellent position on The Peninsula, with great views and easy access to Wroxham. The cottage was clean and found the bed to be very comfortable [ Best sleep for a while ]. Enjoyed a nice cruise on the Broads.
All in all we had a very RELAXING stay
The Cottage was clean and fresh on arrival and in one of the best locations for watching activities around Wroxham bridge. The owner was very helpful with our questions and requirements for the week. We wanted the hire of a day boat, this was arranged and much enjoyed by a family age range 16 to 56! Wroxham for shopping and food was great and appealed to all ages. Fishing from the door was enjoyed along with safe parking for cars. Roys cooked chickens and some fresh cooked chips, the carvery at the Kings Head was great value and the Royale for pizza, kebabs, Indian and burgers was amazingly good with free delivery to the cottage. We enjoyed some beers at The Shed who will for a small fee lay you a table and clear the mess up after a take away. A good, clean cottage in a great area, many thanks David.
Wroxham is generally acknowledged as the capital of the Norfolk Broads. It is the centre of the boating activity, as the starting point for a variety of guided sightseeing boat tours, day boat hire, and boatyards and marinas. A whole community has evolved here over the past 100 years or so offering a full range of shops, pubs, restaurants, cakes, supermarket and all essential services. The Bure Valley Steam Raiway starts it's 18 mile all round trip to Aylsham from here, and new for 2014 is the Miniature Worlds massive model railway village.
Wroxham also serves as a convenient hub to visit a long stretch of the Norfolk coastline including the seaside resorts of Gt Yarmouth, Cromer and Sheringham as well as a large number of villages with sandy beaches, all within a 15 mile range along different routes.
