Spacious apartment in a charming location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of three recently stayed at this beautiful 2-bedroom flat, in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés. It was perfectly located, spacious and well-appointed, with every amenity you might need.

This apartment was very comfortable, and also allowed for easy walking to all the major sights, as well as charming shops and restaurants.

The management team was also very friendly and responsive.

Thank you for a wonderful visit. We certainly hope to be back soon!

We had a stay in the heart of Paris

  • 4 of 5

Very nice place, with nearby cafés, restaurants, metro, market place ...

We needed earplugs during the night because the noise on the street, like a lot of apparts in this area. The apart was clean and comfortable, and the comments I could have are:

Only one key provided for 2 couples is not convenient

The book of recommandations is in english, a version in local language would be apreciated

The floor covering ha s to be replaced

Owner's Response: Bonjour Christiane, thank you for taking the time to submit a review and providing such constructive feedback. We are pleased to know you had a great stay in the apartment and that the very central location worked out so well for you. As with any flat located in the heart of the city, a little city noise is to be expected from time to time, but the fact that you can walk to most touristic sights in the city from there definitely helps to make up for it. We understand that every sleeper can have a different sensitive to noise, and we suggest that those who are not used to such city sounds use ear plugs at night if it prevents them from getting a good night's rest. Unfortunately we only have two sets of keys at this time so we can provide you with one set maximum. A second set must be kept by us in case of an emergency or if guests lock themselves out for example. We are sorry you did not find the guidebook in English to be convenient, but we found that it is the most commonly shared language amongst our guests coming from around the world. We are, of course, happy to answer any other queries by email in the language of your choice. We do hope you'll be in touch for a future visit so you may benefit from our discounted rates for our returning guests. À très bientôt!

Location Great....apartment ok

  • 3 of 5

The location of the apartment is just where I wanted to be. I have been to Paris many times and love the Saint Germain area, specifically Rue de Buci. Amazing street, near everything. Shops, bars, metro all within an easy walking distance.

The apartment was a good size for 4 people but worn and in need of some attention. The check in process was at best acceptable. Since we landed at 6am, I booked the apartment the day before our arrival because their check in process is very rigid. Lots of demands. The individual was there on time, but all she did was drop off the key, asked if we had any questions and left. Not very talkative, but we really didn't need a lot. Never had a walk through, but they tell you how much they will charge you if everything was left as accepted.

Elevator in building which is nice with luggage. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean but in need of repair. No soap supplied, just little body wash samples that I'm sure were refilled. Toilet paper present but that's about all of the amenities. Kitchen had some glasses, dishes and cooking utensils but we were not there to cook so we never really went into the room.

Overall, the apartment is ok. As I mentioned it was located in my favorite location so I am prepared to accept a little disappointment. The cost was not cheap and I reserved an extra night just to arrive early. Probably the biggest disappointment was the arrival. No information given, very little dialogue. It was what it was. BTW, Paris was great for New years.

Owner's Response: Dear Jeffrey, thank you for taking the time to submit such a detailed and constructive review. We are pleased to know you enjoyed the great location of the flat, it truly is unbeatable. This year, we've had a busier than normal tourist season with lots of guests coming and going. Therefore, we've realized this has put some additional wear on the apartment. As a result, we are taking a short break with the flat to address the maintenance and upkeep issues to bring it back to a state we believe you would find acceptable. As for the checkin, we are sorry your arrival did not go as you had hoped. As it was the holiday season, many members of our Welcoming Team had taken vacation to spend time with their families. This left us with fewer staff to manage the meet-and-greet and unfortunately the person who met with you was not extremely comfortable with her level of English, thus not particularly talkative. We are always available by phone or email to answer any questions, before, during or after your stay. Wishing you the best for 2018 and hope to see you again in Paris soon!

Noisy location and unkempt appartment

  • 2 of 5

The Apartment was right on the edge of a fun and lively neighborhood filled with cafes and shops. We were pleased with the location overall, however, however the landlord should have mentioned the loud noise of the neighborhood which lasted until about 3 am each night. That followed by morning hammering by 9 am that appeared to be related to Building maintenance.

We were also asked to pay half of the fees in cash at check in, this was not something I was aware of at the time of booking. I was not comfortable handing over hundreds of euros to someone I did not know, and was not even offered a receipt.

A few additional areas where the apartment and amenities dissipointed us included poor quality towels and bedding, they also provided less than adequate numer of items for 3 ppl and a 5 day stay. The cabinets and closets were filled with cleaning supplies and clutter. The bathroom fixtures not all in good working order, and there was mold in both bathrooms around tub, shower and sinks. the living room drapes were coming off their rings and could not be closed completely. The dishes were dirty and required washing, including lipstick on a number of items.

I expected a higher quality of amenities and cleanliness overall. I will definitely look for other options on my next trip.

Owner's Response: Bonjour David, thank you for your feedback. We apologize that the level of cleanliness didn’t meet our own high standards. Thanks to your feedback, we’ve created a housekeeping checklist so we can be sure to cover all of the spots we sometimes miss.

San Luis Obispo, CA

Although the property has been remodeled, it is not well maintained. In the master bathroom the sink faucet is very loose, the bathtub sprayer is broken, and the wall attached toilet is propped up. This is also the situation with the toilet in the second bathroom. The apartment has most things you would need including a large television in the living room. In the master area the closet is wonderful and was so nice to have. We experienced a lot of noise from the outside and finally discovered the windows were not tightly closed but were hidden behind the curtains so we didn't notice it right away. We weren't able to close all of them tightly and experienced noise from the cafes late into the night. The curtains are in disrepair and look like they need to be cleaned . Cleanliness in the apartment was lacking. It needs a good cleaning. It is too bad since this could be a lovely apartment.

Owner's Response: Bonjour Marcia, thank you for your feedback. We hope you enjoyed Paris a lot! We have addressed the maintenance issues and are discussing now how to improve with the apartment owner. We hold a very high standard when it comes to the cleaning of our flats and we are sorry to hear that you did not find the cleaning satisfactory. Had this been signalled to us, we would have been happy to address these issues to ensure a more comfortable stay for you and your family. As with any flat located in the heart of the city, a little city noise is to be expected from time to time, but the fact that you can walk to most touristic sights in the city from there definitely helps to make up for it. Classic French Apartment

  • 5 of 5

I spent a short visit in Paris in Paul's apartment with my family. We absolutely loved this flat! It has so much charm and a mix of modern and antique style. The exposed beams really add to the charm factor! We found the flat very clean and were provided with sheets and plenty of bath towels. The bathrooms have been remodeled which add a little more comfort to your stay. Great mattresses in the Master bedroom and excellent storage space (I'm already dreaming of the same closet for our home). The second bedroom has a bit of a tight sqeeze to reach the bathroom but shouldn't be a problem for anyone who is not overly large. The location is ideal, in the heart of Saint Germain des Près. We were just a few minutes walk from the Seine River and found plenty of great little cafes nearby. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay somewhere more comfortable than a hotel!
