The house at One Battaleys Mews has been owned by our family for twelve years. We are based in London and knew the developers who created the Battaleys Mews Complex. We let the house merely to cover our costs and constantly update it and keep it in good condition.
Paul purchased this House in 2004

What makes this House unique
Family and friends use this house alongside guests we have had for ten years and from all over the world. Care has been taken to decorate and furnish the house with high-quality appliances and a relaxing non-hotel feel. It is not run as a commercial entity and only offered here to help with the running costs. With everything in the kitchen and bedrooms you would like to have to hand, we did want to offer more than a generic standard rental unit, yet modestly priced. We are always available to help with anything, either personally, or we pass on our guest’s detail with their consent to the concierge service at the local agents we know, or guests usually ask our housekeeper, Tricia, who has a wealth of information. Barbados, like football, is a game of two halves. This statement is highly relevant to sightseers going around the island east to west, north to south. Barbados is arguably one of the most beautiful hosts to any democracy on Earth – a place where local fishers sit shoulder to shoulder with international celebrities in rum bars built on stilts overlooking palm-fringed bays, an isle where the great outdoor happy-go-lucky Caribbean culture is celebrated communally by rich and poor alike. Tucked between the multi-million-dollar homes belonging to the rich and famous you will see the fish markets, shacks and rum bars that add the vital and wholly enjoyable touch of local colour, without which any location soon becomes bland and wearisome At Speightstown, north of Battaleys, all of this can be seen and felt, but of course, a trip around the entire 166 squares miles is a must if you can

Fantastic Barbados vacation rental
Great west coast property! We had a very memorable trip! Trisha took good care of us and provided lot of guidance on how to make the most of our trip. Mullins beach is a short walk and great for families with little kids. Brandon’s beach is worth a visit if you rent a car. Nearby local bakery in Speightstown raisin and coconut pastries were top notch. Oistins fish fry is well worth the visit on the weekend. Kids loved the plunge pool in the backyard and the community pool. All in all, a fantastic rental! Paul the owner and Trisha the manager all just so easy to work with!
Beautiful accommodation with friendly staff!
Very luxurious and spaced out, situated within a private mews. The property is very clean and well kept.
Staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to make sure your stay in Barbados is all you hoped for.
This is a perfect location for families and small groups of friends looking to relax and enjoy the Caribbean experience.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write this and so glad all went well for you
Fabulous time at number one. Would recommend.
Amazing place equally amazing property.
We really enjoyed our trip to Barbados, such a beautiful and relaxed place. Prior to the booking there was a little mix up and Paul was extremely helpful even before a booking was confirmed. The information just before the trip was excellent Paul provided lots of details on the property and surrounding area. The property itself was brilliant, all the facilities you’d need and really nicely out together. The locations was great walking distance from bars & the beach and only a short drive from the nearby larger towns. Overall really good and we’d definitely consider staying again!
Thanks so much for the kind words and glad it all worked out-Paul
A Great Place to Stay on the Island!
One Battaleys Mews was a great base for our ten days on the island over the 2018 Christmas Holidays. The walk down to (public) Mullins Beach is easy and the townhouse is equipped with a cooler and a couple folding chairs (a beach umbrella would have been a nice addition though!) so that we only had to rent a couple of the chaise lounges from the "beach entrepreneurs" for the couple days that we just hung out at the beach. What makes that nice is that the deal for the chaise lounges is that they are about US$40 for "the day" so if you only want to spend a couple hours on the beach (as opposed to a longer time) having your own chairs is a much cheaper option. Also, since food (especially bought at restaurants) is very expensive on Barbados, the fact that the townhouse has a nice BBQ was a huge plus for us and we used it probably half of the nights we were there. The communal tennis court is in great shape and was only being used once when we popped up to play one morning (we were able to play 7 of the 10 mornings we were there). The communal pool was clean and not busy (we were able to get chaise lounge chairs each time we went up). The general area feels very safe and is a great base for exploring the entire island. While the bar at Mullins Beach is no longer open to the public (only members of Royal Westmoreland Golf Club and their guests), despite having access to it through some friends who were Royal Westmoreland members and who let us use their access code to get in (we paid for our lunch on Visa), the access to the Beach bar was not such a essential experience for us - we ate /drank there only once, so not a big thing (that the Beach bar is no longer open to the public) but something prospective visitors should note, since a lot of people make a big deal about what a great beach bar it is! All in all though, we would highly recommend this location for families.- Jim and Alison (Toronto)
This was our second stay at One Battaley's Mews. Like last year our getaway was perfect. The location is great, minutes from beaches and close to restaurants in Holetown. It's a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood. Every amenity you desire has been provided at the townhouse. This unit is beautifully appointed and spotless. We will be back.
Barbados, a pocket-sized paradise approximately 21 by 14 miles, bursts with the charm and hospitality typical of many Caribbean islands, combined with an unmatched natural beauty. Underneath the old-world allure lies a modern infrastructure that includes internationally recognized restaurants, luxury retail brands, world-class banking facilities, high-speed internet, and global television. But it’s the warmth and friendliness of the Barbadian people that lures visitors back to the island year after year.
Barbados is relatively flat, with a diverse countryside and stunning beaches. Coral stone cliffs of 50 to 100 feet rise and fall along the Eastern coastline, separated by small sandy beaches and bays. The South and West Coasts are characterized by wide sandy beaches and the calm, turquoise Caribbean waters. The interior of the island ranges from lush gullies to rolling hills to vast cane fields and plantations.
The climate is warm and sunny all year, with an average daytime temperature ranging from 75 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit (24 to 30 degrees Celsius).
Barbados is the most easterly of the Caribbean islands, spared by most weather systems. Local currency is the Barbadian Dollar, which is conveniently tied to the US Dollar at a fixed rate of approximately 2:1.
