Why Becky Webb chose Port Clinton

Our family has owned properties for over fifty years in the Port Clinton area from Marble Head, to East Harbor, Catawba Cliffs and Sand Road. We settled at The Village At Waters Edge because it is a very small private community that offers a great central location close to everything! Private beach, pool, hot tub, grocery stores, fine restaurants, walking distance to downtown Port Clinton, Jet Express Ferry and only 20 mins from Cedar Point.

Everything was great and as described. Stunning view and very clean however it was hardly a beach. Maybe about 1 foot of beach. Everything about the stay was great would of just planned the stay differently knowing their wasn't beach.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the five star rating!:) I'm glad your enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, the water level was up. Normally have more than 1 foot of beach area. If this happens again, within walking distance from the complex there is a large sandy public beach.

We travel a lot. My sons have been in hotels in Belgium, B&B's in Ireland, and rooms above pubs in The Netherlands. When we got home from this house an hour ago, my youngest came to me and said, "I am homesick for the lake house, Mom. I want to go back." We booked this wonderful house to view the Bicentennial celebration of the Battle of Lake Erie. My parents, and my husbands parents were scheduled to join us. At the last minute, my sister-in-law and her husband and daughter from California were able to re-arrange a flight, and swing by for an evening. This house held us all, and we could not have been more comfortable. We gathered on the deck and had plenty of room to sit and talk while watching the waves roll in. My husband named it: The Infinity Deck. If you are seated, you only see water...no land at all. Amazing. The three bathrooms were good sized, and even with all those people, we had hot water. This was perhaps the most well stocked condo I have ever been to (and that is saying something). The dishes were plentiful, including huge bowls to hold fresh fruit and to marinade fresh veggies for the charcoal grill. The decor was classy beachy- not garish in any way. It was soothing, and calming, and made you really feel like you were instantly on a beach vacation. There were extra bath towels, and plenty of comfy sheets. And the beds! The hide-away sofa has a memory foam mattress. And there were two roll-a-way beds. And plenty of space to set it all up when we finally dragged ourselves away from the view to sleep. The next day, we ate cinnamon rolls while watching the Tall ships sail from the Port Clinton pier (so close you can walk to it). We saw some of the best fireworks we have ever seen, and to top it all off...an air show was going on, and my history-teacher father and history-loving father-in-law were treated to the multiple flights of B-17 bombers flying right over the house. At some point we remembered there was a pool four houses down, so we spent hours swimming in a great, clean, comfortable pool and whirlpool. There was a covered area with a full fireplace, and people were lighting fires and relaxing poolside. I am not sure what else I could say. The beach itself was covered in mud(as natural bodies of water are sometimes), and it didn't put even the slightest hitch in this amazing vacation condo. I enjoyed talking to the kind owner, and I am hoping I can stay there again. Thank you!

A perfect place to relax and create memories.

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at Becky’s Lake home and we had a great time. As we walked up the stairs and saw the beautiful lake view, it was stunning! The deck was the perfect place to relax and watch the beautiful sunsets. When we weren’t relaxing on the deck, we enjoyed many of the attractions that the area offers and we were happy that the house was located a short distance to all, Cedar Point was only twenty minutes away and very easy to get to. Not having to spending a lot of time in the car was a plus. Also very close by are the fishing charters and my husband and grandson had a great fishing trip and actually caught Walleye in August. The pool was a hit with all and was enjoyed daily. There is great dining in the area and all the quick meal restaurants are close by as well. The grassy lot that is exclusive to the renters of this house was a bonus for the grandchildren to run and play on. The house is clean and decorated with warm and welcoming colors. Memories were made and happy grandchildren with big smiles was all I needed to know that our vacation was a success! I truly would love to return someday!

Great Escape

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a vacation to relax and have fun at the same time and this rental met our needs. Access to the lake from the back door, having the pool and hot tube right in the developement was outstanding. It was great location to get to the local attraction. So it was my great escape from our nomal crazy Disney vacation per my six year old grandson this was his best vacation ever...even top Disney. To wrap it up...beautiful home, beautiful view, nice little beach out the back door, pool, hot tub, easy access to local attractions and sunsets you won't forget! The Great Escape...

Everything we wanted and more!

  • 5 of 5

WOW! This is truly a wonderful home! The house is clean and spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped and had everything we needed during our stay. Although the weather wasn’t the best and we couldn’t enjoy the deck (it was October and you just never know what you’re gonna get in Ohio) it was still beautiful to watch the gulls on the water and the sunsets through the wall of glass. The two car garage was great. We were able to park two cars in the garage and it was a blessing to be able to pack and unpack without going out in the rain. Everything is close by too. Kroger’s and Super Wal-Mart are right down the street. If you don’t feel like cooking, Big Boy & Burger King are right next door to the development. We came to relax and enjoy each other’s company, so we didn’t leave the condo. BUT there is a lot to do in Port Clinton and Becky has a binder with all the information you need to help you plan. We only needed the stereo and CD player. We can’t wait to come back again! Thanks, Becky!

We had our family reunion at this beautiful house. We had family from several states to come in. There was lots of room to accommodate all of us. (10) The house was very clean and fully equipped for all our needs. Having a washer and dryer on site was great as well! The view was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this rental to anyone. Thanks Becky!
