About Cindy Newman

We are the owners of Villa Oceana and this picture is on our beach at a sunset wedding.

We live in central PA and we found our house when we were vacationing for the first time on the island with our families and fell in love with Sapodilla Bay!

Cindy Newman purchased this villa in 2005

Why Cindy Newman chose Turks & Caicos

We have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and every time we go somewhere else we always think that there's nothing better than Villa Oceana and Sapodilla Bay! We have made this home comfortable for ourselves as well as for our guests. And have really thought of what we and our guests need in a house to make this a perfect vacation getaway! From the second you walk through our front door and kick off your shoes you will be relaxed and excited to get out on the beach. You will enjoy calm warm ocean water, absolutely breath taking sunsets, not to mention a huge pool for cooling off in! There is much to do on the island, but so many of our guests don't even want to leave the serenity of our house and beach!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our repeat guests, the Forgerons, emailed to say that though they have stayed at many different villas on many different islands in the Caribbean, our Villa Oceana is their favorite! They are looking forward to coming back this May!

Thanks Joan!!

Can't wait to go back...

  • 5 of 5

The photos were nice, but truly did not do this place justice! The home was bigger than we had pictured and the layout was great. It was great for our kids as well. They could swim in the ocean, run back up to the house and jump in the pool and back to the ocean.

So relaxing and most of the time we felt we had a private beach. If there were 2 other groups on the beach, that was a lot!

The sand was so soft and the ocean was absolutely beautiful and crystal clear. No coral or rocks or sea urchins!

We were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurants on the island were excellent (though expensive, as most islands are). Shark Bite was incredible bar food and the kids loved it because we actually saw sharks swimming by. Our favorite restaurant was Coyaba. High end, but great food and a great wine list.

But we actually had our best meals at the house when we just threw some steaks on the grill and lounged in our swimsuits while they were cooking!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here!!! The condominium is not huge like a lot of other places!! The condo is great and the master bed slept wonderful!!! We loved the free beach service!! Leesa was great to work with and was always great at answering any questions I had. The pictures don't do this place justice. We loved it so much we have already booked our trip for 2017 here!

Great House...Great Beach...Great Trip!!!

  • 5 of 5

Family Vacation Xmas Dec-2016...

The home is beautiful, and very nicely stocked with all amenities. Interior of the main house is very spacious with a large kitchen and the patios that surround the majority of the exterior are great for casual dining and morning coffee...and the property is wired with speakers so your music follows you outside and down to the beach. The separate king suite is perfect for two and offers privacy from the main house.

The beach and entire setting is very tropical and at times very remote feeling...this is the ideal spot to escape and truly relax.

The ocean (or front yard) is beautiful, crystal clear, and perfect for lounging. If you venture out roughly 100yrds you will see turtles and many fish (the dock located to the far left of the bay is also a great spot to see fish and sea life)...there are also a few sunken vessels that can easily be reached via kayak. If you want a true reef experience...you can drive a short distance to the north side of the island and snorkel at Smith's Reef...this is incredible - definitely take the time to snorkel at Smith's Reef.

Our group consisted of six adults (four of the six are in college). The house was plenty big enough for six adults. If you are looking for "bar" night life...it's about 15-20mins north in the Port of Calls or Turtle Cove areas. However, the better option might be to chill on the beach and listen to music...the night time weather in December is beautiful...never dropped below 75 degrees. There is a nice grocery store in the Port of Calls area with high-end meats and decent wine selection.

Overall our experience was perfect...we will definitely return at some point. Once you are there it is very difficult to depart for home.

Excellent house, beach, pool, and beautiful accommodations. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an island escape.

Paradise!!!

  • 5 of 5

Ditto to all the reviews below!!!! Awesome villa and beach! Relaxing!!! We came home happier! Better than the pictures!!!

There are no words to how nice our vacation was in this beautiful villa! Cindy was amazing to deal with from the beginning. Then we were met by Julian at the airport and escorted to the villa. Plus, Plus! On arrival we found, beer, water, snacks, fruit, and some staples to get us started. The villa also had many sunscreens, bug spray, towels, beach towels, etc. There are floats, in fact we left 6 nice ones that we brought but we had several to choose from.

We had maid service in the middle of the week. That was nice.

There was a security guard who patrols the street at night and the beach. Plus Plus! I felt very safe.

It was a wonderful amazing place to spend a week with my family. I hope I get to go back sometime.

We had perfect weather. No rain. 81 during the day and 77 at night.

We had lobster two nights from the fish market. 14 oz. lobsters priced around 10 dollars each. Amazing!

We brought a lot of our food. We checked two bags with dry foods. That saved us a ton and also kept us out of the grocery store. We did make a few runs.

We brought a Yeti with frozen meats and spaghetti sauce on our plane. It was still frozen when we got there. That was also worth the effort.

We love this house! It was beautiful and they have thought of everything to make your stay awesome.

Some fans in the kitchen and dining could help but we had nice weather and were fine. We ran our AC when in the bedrooms and our bill was less than 100.00.

We had 6 adults and a 14 month old. We rented two small cars from Dollar. We spent around 200 dollars a car for the week. We booked online before going.

I hope this helps the next people. I know I had questions before going.

Oh, be sure to try the local fried chicken place in town. It is a walk up. Chicken for 5 with fries was 10.00. We found it on the last day and it was delicious!!!

Happy travels! You need to choice here if you like what you see.

There is nothing better than this on the island...

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely LOVED our stay in this gorgeous, family friendly home. The pool, the beach, & the restaurants nearby were all perfect. We went with another family of four with kids the same age- 4&1. We couldn't have built a better set up. Lots of space, lots of beach towels, great. Bedroom setup including the guest cottage which is steps into the kitchen so you dont feel left out or too far away, yet have your own bathroom and kitchenette area. The owners answered all of our many questions and shared their lovely story via phone prior. There is a security guard that is present and we felt very safe. No security issues, however on Sunday nite a group of locals came to watch the sunset & have some drinks. This would have been fine except they chose to do so on our lounge chairs... security spoke with them and they didn't budge so we decided to hang out with them and ended up having a nice time. Everyone was very friendly and James (the young man who rents the jet ski and sets up drinks) picked up some fresh fish for us from his fisherman buddy. The grocery stores are close by via driving- you need a car here. We only used the car for airport transfer and grocery and water runs (water is not included with the house). We took a ride up to the area with all of the resorts and immediately for overwhelmed!! You are in such a calm quiet paradise on sapodilla bay and this property you won't want to pop your bubble and leave! The paddleboards and kayaks were great! Tons of tubes to float in and lifejackets of all sizes available. We brought floaties and left them behind for you! If a week ever opens up we will return! Travel tip- Saturday departure can be very busy at the airport. We were told by frequent travelers to leave 4 hours!! We should have only left 2... seemed unnecessary... thank you so much for br vacation dreams are made of ❤️

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

The house is way more impressive than the pictures. The bay is stunning and so private. We used the kyacks and for those traveling with kids, there are ample beach and pool toys! The pool is much larger than it appears as well, and so good for little kids since it's almost half shallow. Cindy was very responsive for any and all questions as was the management staff. We loved being away from all the hotels and explored the island extensively. The home owners hired a private night time security company, that made us feel safe and sound with our three small children and babysitter. Renting a car is a must for grocery shopping and sight seeing. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and we loved using the grill (we own a restaurant so having the ability to cook was great). We have very high standards and often stay at luxury hotels, and this house didn't disappoint in anything. Our only qualm was when we entered the house, it was incredibly hot and it took a significant amount of time to cool down (you pay for your own air conditioning usage). Overall this house is hard to beat - we will definitely return!!!!

Great beachfront villa for families and couples! The sunsets on this beach are the best on the island. Come check out the powder soft sand and the calm, crystal clear warm water of the Caribbean Ocean!

So much to check out and see or do nothing but relax at the comfort of your own beachfront villa!

There's a wonderful restaurant/bar that is walking distance from the villa, but there's also a grill on our patio for cooking fresh fish or just throwing on burgers and hanging out!

We are only a 15 min. drive into Grace Bay where all the resorts are and many wonderful restaurants...but most people don't ever want to leave the villa!

Other Activities: kayaking and stand up paddle boards for your use at our villa!

Golf: There is a golf course on the island that is very popular and only a 15-20 minute drive from the villa!
