Being only 100 meters from the free buses, running to the ski lifts of Morzine and Avoriaze, it is also ideal for those who wish to catch a transfer from the airport (which we are happy to arrange) and leave the car behind. For those who intend driving, the apartment has ample parking with two car parks one to either side of the building.The drive to Morzine and Avoriaze is between 10 and 15 minutes. It occupies the whole second floor (top floor) of our building offering spectacular views from every window and balcony.
Saint Jean d'Aulps “La Grande Terche” forms part of the Portes Du Soleil and is an excellent resort particularly well suited to beginners and families with its wide nursery slope. The ski school is situated directly at the telecabin. The resort is something of a well-kept secret that has played host to the French national ski championships. It has 34km of varied slopes with 16 lifts that offer fun for all levels of skier and boarder alike.
Entrance to the apartment is from the main high street. The entrance hall has a ski storage cupboard avoiding the need to take any skis, poles boards etc up to the apartment itself.
The front door to the apartment opens into a porch area off which is the WC, a double bedroom with a westerly facing balcony and entrance to the living area.
The large open plan living and dining area offers comfort for 8 people, a dining table, a wall mounted smart TV connected to the internet with satellite television, a sound dock and Wifi.
Turn right to gain access to the large modern kitchen equipped with all you would need including inductive hob, fan oven, steam / microwave oven, fridge freezer, dish washer, washing machine and tumble drier. The kitchen has east and west facing views with a four seat breakfast table looking over the town.
Three further bedrooms and two further bathrooms are accessed from the hallway running off the living area. The master bedroom is a double with ensuite. There is also a twin room and bunk room plus family bathroom from the hallway.
In total the apartment has 4 sets of French doors leading out to large balconies, which are ideal for catching the sun all day long with spectacular sunsets in the summer. The west facing balcony has a Weber barbeque for outdoor cooking.
