Fantastic cottage with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

Just come back from an absolutely fantastic stay at Ardrhu Cottage and even the weather didn't ruin it for us.

The cottage has everything you could wish for including stunning views in every room. There were 5 adults + 1 dog staying here and the cottage is a lot bigger than seems on the photos, so there was never a feeling of over crowding.

The beach is literally a stones throw away which is perfect for our morning strolls and so peaceful.

The beds are also really comfy, so be prepared for the best nights sleep ever.

Fort William is a short drive away with a Morrison's supermarket, which is convenient. For a day trip I recommend the Jacobite railway but strongly recommend you book before the arrival on your holiday as this sells out pretty quick due to its popularity with Harry Potter fans.

Was lovely to see Joanne again after all these years and we will all be booking to stay here again soon as we did not want to leave.

Superb location

  • 4 of 5

A well appointed cottage with superb views across the Loch. The whole area around the cottage is well kept. The weather could have been kinder to us but it didn't stop us doing what we planned to do. The weather also has an effect on the Loch so provides many different pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Glenfinnan and walking the Trail around the magnificently engineered Victorian viaduct. Our trip to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula also surprised us with beautiful views across the Sound of Arisaig, Lochaber. A wonderful unspoilt area of Scotland.

We had an amazing week in this beautiful holiday home. The views are just amazing and the house itself is very comfortable and well equipped. And we were so fortunate to have fantastic weather too. Hopefully we will be back.

Brilliant!

  • 5 of 5

We have had a lovely week at one of the best properties we have ever been to, a true home-from-home, it was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. With the addition of amazing scenery and the peace and quiet of the loch- side, even the midges were tolerable! The house was in a great location for exploring, and an unexpected bonus of the Corran ferry being free as we had a motability car. Adrian and Joanne live near by and were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay. Thank you

Once again - extremely happy!

  • 5 of 5

Once again we had a lovely stay. Everything was perfect as usual. The description and pictures provided of the cottage are spot on and show a great example of what to expect. The location of the cottage can not be put into words as the views from the dining room/ conservatory are amazing and never get boring. Also the location is perfect with small children as you are a long way from any roads or traffic. The property was as usual very clean and tidy with all appliances working perfectly, and the overall site and cottage are very well maintained and looked after. Adrian and Joanna gave us a lovely welcome and made us feel at home. We always know if there is any problems or queries we can ask them. I would always recommend this cottage to anyone including friends and family as it is lovely and has made some incredible memories over the past few years and we hope to continue making more of them. There is plenty to do at the cottage as well as in the surrounding areas. In fort William there is some lovely little shops to look around as well as the beautiful scenery. On a rainy day it is handy that a indoor play centre is in fort William especially with young children. A few miles up the road is a gondola taking you up the mountains which is a great experience, But most importantly there are some gorgeous walks as the cottage is a walk away from Inchree water fall and is located right beside the loch. There is plenty to do in all weathers. The cottage suited our needs perfectly with 6 adults and a 2 year old child.

Thank you ever so much for our stay we had a great time and hope to be back next year.

Lovely, warm cottage in perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a lovely week at Ardrhu Cottages, and would love to return. The house is very comfortable, lovely and warm, very nicely furnished and with everything you could need for an enjoyable holiday.

The owners, Joanne and Adrian were very helpful, and even kindly took in a medical delivery for my Dad, allowing him to get out and about and make the most of his break.

The cottage is right on the loch front with spectacular views and a lovely walk along the rocky beach. Perfect for dogs, and ours loved it.

We had a lovely week, despite the cold weather. I can say that this cottage has it all. Stunning location, lovely quiet area and a very comfortable home from home! Looking forward to another week there.

Glencoe being 7 miles south and Fort William 8 miles north, where the highest mountain in the UK can be found, Ben Nevis, there are plenty of things to do. Visit a battle ground from the clan age, ride a steam train through some beautiful scenery to Mallaig, which travels over the famous viaduct from the Harry porter movies. Or take a walk to one of the many waterfalls in the area. Visit the ski resorts for down hill bike riding or winter ski sports. Sample our exceptional sea food, collected daily for the loch's. You can take a ferry to visit the small islands to view all the wildlife there is to offer.
