Please note that we are a destination Spa so one spa service at adjacent Just For Me Spa is required for each guest during their stay at the Cottage. For stays of two or more nights, a spa service is not required. Please also note that we do not use the reservation calendar. We ask that you contact us with reservation dates you are interested in; if this one is not available, we have other homes that may be available and suitable for you.
This cozy, two-bedroom Cottage is perfect for a couples' romantic getaway or as the 'R & R' destination for four people. An additional two guests are allowed at $50/person/night. Airbeds are available on request.
The Cottage is a charming, turn-of-the-century bungalow, with a screened porch in front complete with a swing built for two. The upstairs full bathroom with shower also features a claw-foot tub for a relaxing soak after a day of shopping or sightseeing.
Lovely original oak woodwork and floors shine with the care that went into restoring and furnishing this immaculate home. In the back of the house, an enclosed porch off the fully-equipped galley kitchen has a bistro-style dining set and looks out onto a private, shady yard. A country-style dining room, right off the kitchen, seats four comfortably. There is also complimentary Wi-fi and broadband internet for your use.
The Cottage is one block from Len's, a full-service grocery store with a meat and deli counter featuring Boar's Head products, homemade salads, soups and other items for a spur-of-the-moment picnic or late-night snack. A half-block away is our favorite ice-cream store, Nelson's, with the largest ice cream cones you've ever seen (a child-sized portion is more than enough; be daring and try the Lumberjack--if you finish it, they'll take your picture and post it in the store).
Within walking distance is the historic business district of Stillwater, the birthplace of Minnesota. Watch the eagles soar along the St. Croix, a designated Wild and Scenic River. Step back in time as you shop for antiques and unique gifts on Main Street. Hungry? Choose from an array of restaurants and pubs: Mad Cappers or Whitey's for hamburgers, sandwiches and soups; the Dock Cafe, LoLo's or Marx Wine Bar for upscale dining.
Whether you come to Stillwater to shop, dine out or live the small-town life for a while, the warm, cozy and romantic Cottage will be the most memorable part of your visit.
