House was amazing. Great experience. Would go back in a heartbeat
This is a truly stunning home and embodies the best of the VRBO experience. For starters, the house is HUGE - the proportions of the rooms are so grand, which makes you immediately feel like you're on a real vacation! But what's really special is that the homeowners are clearly art lovers - and while many homes are decorated an identical bland modern style, this home has so much character throughout. Everything from the color palette to the art, furniture and fixtures throughout is thoughtfully appointed. Has all the gadgets and toys you could want.
The location is also incredible - perched atop a hill amongst the vineyards, on one side you face the beautiful pool (heated!) and on the others you just see vineyard. It is hard to beat and the view just gets better each day. We found it hard to peel ourselves away from the house for day visits.
The icing on the cake is the peacocks that freely roam the property. If you're staying with young kids, they will love finding the feathers outside, along with all the other animals onsite.
Truly a very, very special place.
We had a great time in Traverse City.
We are leaving this property after a wonderful family vacation with two other families. This location is IDEAL for winery access, especially to Mawby, which is walkable. Aside from that, it’s set up is ideal for family fun. Tons of outdoor dining and seating, huge yard to play in, a heated pool, animals, several TVs and indoor seating areas, pool table and tons of places to sleep. We are already talking about coming back to this property! The owner was incredibly responsive before and during our stay.
Spectacular home in wine country
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property for a wedding anniversary family gathering. The pool, the farm animals, the long porches with spectacular views of the vineyards, the gourmet kitchen, the bright and spacious rooms, and the comfortable and lovely furniture/decor all helped to make our stay a memorable one.
This home is so unique and spacious. It's a lot to spend per night, but I feel like overall, the price was fair for such a large and special property set on a peaceful vineyard. There were some issues that were a nuisance considering what you're paying. However, the property owner was very responsive and apologetic and it's not like it impacted our stay that much. Hopefully those issues get addressed for the next stay! We still had a great time. With 8 adults, 4 children, and 2 babies we had plenty of room to feel comfortable and not step on anybody's toes. We loved watching the animals (peacocks all over, donkeys, etc) and swimming in the heated pool. Not to mention all of the surrounding places just a short drive away that we visited (Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc). I would definitely stay here again.
