Enjoy our beautifully remodeled Penthouse suite with 2 bedroom, 2 bath vacation condo at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. Our condo is located in the Fairway Villas, just 25 minutes north of the Kailua-Kona Airport, situated on a ten-acre tropical paradise surrounded by the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course and King’s Golf Course. You can also enjoy many of the other Kohala coast golf courses within a few minutes drive from the condo.

The Waikoloa Beach Resort is pure paradise for the beach lover, as well as a golfer’s paradise. The Kohala Coast has the best weather which is dry and sunny which is perfect for the beach and golfing.

The Anaehoomalu Bay (A-Bay) fish pond and beach are located across the road and through the Marriott Outrigger; it is a short walk or a two minute drive. Our condo overlooks the King’s Shops and King’s Lake. Hapuna Beach Park and Mauna Kea are just a ten minute drive north. Hapuna Beach and Mauna Kea are two of the top four beaches on the Big Island. A-Bay at Waikoloa is also named as one of the four best beaches in addition to Hapuna and Mauna Kea.

The Fairway Villas is a private gated community built in 2003. You will enjoy many luxury features including an Infinity Edge swimming pool, an elevated rock edge spa overlooking the 9th hole and King’s Lake, a fitness room and poolside picnic and dining area with gas barbecues. Within a short stroll along the King’s Lake, you can enjoy the shopping and dining of the Kings’ Shops or Queens Marketplace.

We have equipped our condo with all the features and amenities you will need which include a 32 inch LCD flat screen TV, DVD, home theater system with an iPod connection, our favorite DVD movies, linens, towels, beach accessories such as boogie boards, beach chairs, mats and beach towels. Our kitchen comes complete with everything you will need to enjoy your stay such as a huge refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, and microwave. We also have wireless internet access throughout the condo as well as central air conditioning and washer and dryer.

In the Waikoloa Resort area you can visit the Marriott Hotel which offers sailing adventures or the Hilton Waikoloa which hosts the Dolphin Quest Center where you can swim with the dolphins. The Big Island has so much to offer for everyone from land lovers who could enjoy hiking in the rainforest and desert lava bed, or beach lovers who could enjoy black, green or white sand beaches in addition to scuba, snorkeling or deep sea fishing. Many other activities include four wheel drive adventures, biking, horseback riding, surfing, submarine adventures and helicopter sightseeing.

We hope you love the coming to Waikoloa as much as we do. After renting in The Fairway Villas, we loved it so much we decided to buy a condominium this year. This unit has never been in the rental pool, so the unit is very clean.

Terrific Condo In A Great Complex With High Walk Score

This unit has it all: it's in Waikoloa, it has a nice view, great proximity to shared resources (pool/workout area/etc), its well-appointed, has all the beach stuff you might need and the owner was very easy to work with.

You can walk to Kings/Queens/Lava Lava/Marriott without any issues. But, there is also ample parking at all of those places ;) .It's a short drive to the Hilton where they have a ton of activities for kids (water slides, lagoon, pools for a charge).

Best kitchen i have had in a rental. I was able to cook a full breakfast without having to improvise my toolset. It has an excellent fridge with built-in ice maker along with small coffee maker. There was also quite a bit of residual stuff (cof filters/salt/pepper/etc, your mileage may vary).

Bathrooms are nice, toilets have no problems flushing the results of a high protein Hawaiian diet ;) . Showers worked well. We used the laundry several times and it worked well.

There were two small negatives: trash piles up around the trash area (we are avid trash dumpers) and on the Saturday night we were there people were partying well into midnight. Not a huge deal, we went during the thick of peak season and being by the shared resources, this is somewhat 'a given'.

At any rate, doesn't effect the rating, this place was phenomenal and the process went perfectly smooth thanks to the owner. The latter really does mean a lot when you are lugging the family around on vacation.

Thanks for letting us hang out.. We look forward to hanging out in the future.

Home away from home

Amy was able to provide all the essentials needed to make us feel at home during our 10 day stay. We are a family of four with two teenagers. We used the beach chairs, beach towels, boogie board and coolers on a daily basis, exploring a different beach almost every single day.

The condo is tidy, with an open floor plan that has the lanai looking out to the pool and hot tub. She provides all the grilling and cooking utensils and equipment we needed during our stay.

The unit is located on the 3rd floor but there is an elevator almost immediately outside of the door and the reserved parking space is at the end of the very short walk way from the elevator. This was very handy on our arrival and departure.

The Queens and King's mall and A bay are all within walking distance, a really short walk in fact. (They will open a movie theatre in Queens this August)

Hapuna, Kua Bay, Beach 60 and Makalwena are all less than 20 minute drive from the condo.

Definitely listen to Amy's instruction on handling the AC. if that lanai door is not shut completely, you will have hot air blowing through the condo!

I have already passed this link to my friends for their future trips out to the big island.

Outstanding place!

Always stayed in Kona/Keauhou , this is First time we've stayed in Waikoloa area, and it was excellent. The condo was clean, comfortable, well equipped . The owner, Amy, was very responsive. 3rd floor makes the lanai more private, and affords great views. It's convenient to great beaches, and shopping. Driving to Kona can be slow traffic some times, but highway completion to 4 lanes will fix that soon. We enjoyed walking around the Petroglyphs and golf course. And had great drives to the North - Hawi and Pololu Lookout.

Only issue we had was figuring out the AC shut-off and re-start after opening the Lanai sliding door. But after a quick phone call with Amy we were all set for the duration of our stay.

We will definitely come back to this great place! John and Diane P
