Our lovely apartment is in the Merchant City, one of the most popular and vibrant areas of Glasgow, worth walking the surrounding streets just to see the impressive architecture. There is an abundance of great restaurants and bars nearby. The City Halls, home to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra are just across the road. The apartment, which is on the third floor, has just been completely refurbished. There is a shower room with new bathroom suite and 1700mm walk in shower. The bedroom windows overlook the courtyard. It's a bright, airy property with a large lounge/dining area. The complex has a security entrance and designated parking space.
We are an early retired couple who have owned this city centre property now for eight years. The apartment has been available for rental for a few years. Until then, it was very much kept 'in the family', our daughter and her husband enjoyed living there for many years.
Greyfriars Court is a bright and airy apartment located within Glasgow's Merchant City, ideal for the business or leisure traveller. The property is very well maintained and offers a uniquely fresh environment for our guests. The bedroom has fitted wardrobes and a king size bed. The large open plan lounge and dining area have two new sofas, flat screen TV with Freeview and Blu Ray player. The kitchen has modern appliances including microwave, hob and oven. There is also a washer/dryer available.
A welcome pack including bottled sparkling water, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk is waiting for you on arrival.
Fantastic location for visiting Glasgow. There are bars and restaurants on the doorstep and Glasgow's renowned shopping in Buchanan Street is a 10 minute walk away! Although in the city centre, it is surprisingly quiet as the two bedroom windows overlook a courtyard and the lounge overlooks a quiet side street. Rail, bus and motorway links are close by. The Edinburgh summer festival and fringe is only 50 minutes away by train.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer flat in a perfect location. Within walking distance of Concert Hall, shopping, train, tours, and restaurants. Very clean and well organized. Stocked well with kitchen and bath supplies. Everything ran well. No issues whatsoever. Felt like home within hours. Getting set up with Gillian was a breeze. Very helpful. Would stay there again next time we visit for sure.
Spotlessly clean apartment, with all mod cons. Everything we needed for a home away from home vacation. Located in a great area, within walking distance to the city and close to all forms of public transport. Owners were fantastic and the cookies weren't too shabby either. Would definitely recommend this apartment and wouldn't hesitate to rent again!

When we arrived at the flat Gillian was waiting for us and was first class in showing and explaining to us about the flat. The flat had everything that was needed to make your stay perfect. The flat was in the city centre which was great for restaurants and bars and transport. Being from Glasgow myself I know where to go but if you are do not know the city Gillian will put you right. We have stopped in some great propertys in Glasgow in the past but Gillian,s is the best not only is the location great but it is so peaceful. Cant wait to the next time we go up to Glasgow as Gillian,s will be the first place we will book EXCELLENT.
We highly recommend this apartment. It was very clean, quiet and beautifully furnished. The location was perfect to access the city center.
All amenities were very thoughtful for example fresh milk, coffee, tea and cookies plus fresh flowers were available on our arrival. The following details were also available such as instructions for appliances kept together in a portfolio, convertors for electrical plugs, and a portable drying rack for clothes plus clips for keeping food fresh in bags.
Gillian was very kind and accommodating. Our stay in Glasgow in this apartment was memorable in the most positive manner. Thank you.
Every apartment for rent should bench marked against the Glasgow Merchant City Courtyard Apartment. If every apartment was presented to visitors as superbly as this apartment is then there would never be a need for apartments to be reviewed.
The apartment is spotlessly clean and is equipped with new modern appliances. The owners are wonderful hosts providing plenty of information about Glasgow. They provided tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and many other items throughout the apartment and even a spare toothbrush in the bathroom!
Unfortunately, we did not spend enough time in Glasgow or the apartment. But we intend to return to both in the near future.
The apartment is furnished to a high standard, and very well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. It is quiet and comfortable and it would be hard to find fault. The location is excellent, central but with easy access by car and public transport, and with good cafes and restaurants very close by. Gillian is a very good communicator and was very helpful with a problem we had. We hope to return to Glasgow before too long as there is much more that we want to do there, and the apartment will definitely be our first choice.
