The Owner purchased this villa in 2005
Cool and comfortable, light and spacious, unusually green for the area.
Location. Perfect for access to the whole peninsula. Very close to Bodrum town but much quieter, cooler and more peaceful.
We really enjoyed our stay at Jacaranda - we like to holiday in October when it's quieter and the weather is lovely but not too hot to explore all the lovely villages and historical sites in the area.
The villa was really comfortable and well equipped with a great terrace for barbecues and family meals overlooking the gorgeous garden and pool, very calm and relaxing.
The minibuses are frequent and go everywhere, or you can walk to beautiful Bitez bay where the water is really warm and, if you've got young children, safe and shallow enough to play.
Everything you need is available in the village shops and there are very reasonable places to eat as an alternative to the more expensive beach restaurants.
The Farmers market is on Thursdays with piles of colourful local produce, heaven for vegetarians!
A perfect place for relaxing, exploring and having fun especially in buzzy Bodrum town which was a bit noisier, so we were always happy to return to our green oasis.
We thoroughly recommend Jacaranda
This villa was cool – in both senses of the word – all marble floors and muted colours, and spacious enough for the four of us comfortably to hang out in. We had to toss a coin over who got the main bedroom with its fabulous balcony overlooking the gardens. It's so lovely that some days we didn't leave the house at all, but lazed around the pool or swung gently in the hammock reading novels.
The shady verandah with a huge table was perfect for long lunches eating fresh produce that we bought from the nearby market on a Thursday – so many varieties of olives to choose from, and try the local pomegranate juice in salad dressing; it's so delicious you'll be carrying bottles of this home with you.
One day we walked the Bitez coastal path for an early morning swim on a little sandy beach, deserted but for the occasional dog walker. And once we drove to a little spit of a peninsula called Gumusluk where, at a table on the edge of the bluest sea you have ever seen, we ate a traditional Turkish breakfast of tomatoes, olives, eggs, flatbread and cake (yes, honey and chocolate cake for breakfast). Yummy!
Bitez itself has a lively beach resort where we lay around on giant cushions in the late afternoon sunshine and sipped cocktails to the sounds of a rocking disco beat.
And once we hired the services of a friendly local man called Koko who drove us to the ruins of Didima, Miletus and Priene where we strolled peacefully around ancient amphitheatres and marketplaces far from the crowds who throng better-known Ephesus; we ended a perfect day out in Iasos eating giant prawns known as garide.
The villa was perfect, clean, well equipped, and lovely enough to stay in if we were feeling lazy, close enough to the village of Bitez so that we could walk there if we fancied eating out (lots of restaurants to choose from), and ideal as a base from which to explore the surrounding area. Thank you, owners, for a really wonderful holiday.
This is a really wonderful villa with a lot to offer. There is a pool and fantastic outdoor areas for BBQ'ing and family socialising. The bedrooms are big, bright and roomy with air conditioning as well. The kitchen and sitting areas are large and comfortable. The villa is close to Bitez village with all it's restaurants and a lovely walk or bus ride to the great beach. We really loved our stay here and can't wait to get back!!!
I have visited Bodrum before but have never stayed anywhere so quiet and so green with plenty of shaded areas,as it can be very hot there.we couldn't,t believe how tasteful and spacious the house is with clean and modern facilities and huge picture windows.
In a small complex with security walking distance from the village, where there are plenty of shops and places to eat. We sometimes walked to the beach or took the little minibus.Bodrum town just a short bus ride also. Bitez beach is so pretty and there are great restaurants and bars all along the pedestrianised front. We went on a boat trip from Bitez marina, a really reasonable and coast hugging trip with food and drink included, lots of fish and wildlife to see too.
Enjoyed meals on the terrace and fun barbecues, the house is well equipped and comfortable if you fancy staying in.
The large pool and surrounding area is fantastic and although shared with 4 houses we never saw anyone else use it while we were there.Don,t often go to the same place twice but hope to go back to jacaranda!
Very high stranded love the villa has all you need to make a great holiday pool fantastic .local market great for shopping .
