Golf: The Torrevieja area boasts one of the best climates in Europe (and effectively in the world) with an average of more than 320 days of sunshine per year making it a top destination for golfers all year round. Currently there are 12 golf courses between Alicante and Murcia, all within 45 minutes drive from the apartment including Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Villamartin in Orihuela Costa, La Finca near Algorfa and the world famous La Manga Club. In the immediate area, just by the Aquapark in Torrevieja, there is a new golf driving range, ideal for the kids. Priced at approx. 3 euros per child and 1 euro for a bag of balls, it is worth a few visits. And the kids enjoy the fun and relaxation under the sun!

Open-air market: Within 10 minutes walk of the apartment is one of the largest open-air markets on the Costa Blanca, organized every Friday. Large variety of goods, leather, clothing, toys, household items etc. and of course the freshest fruit and vegetables. Designer label handbags, baseball caps, clothes and accessories at unbelievable prices. Great to impress when taking presents home! Or, just to spoil yourself! An absolute must for shopaholics! This is how a real Spanish market should be and you can see this for yourself, as the Spanish buy the fresh food and goods as well. The atmosphere is something not to be missed! Just make sure you have plenty of euros! How about a fresh cooked chicken, fresh Spanish tomatoes and fresh salad, with a chilled glass of wine or beer, after your day in the market! It is all available for you to take onto the beach or back to the apartment.

Salt lakes: Second highest density of salt in the world after the Dead Sea. Although the lake and surrounding area is protected there’s access to the water which is ideal for treating eczema, arthritis, rheumatism and generally all kinds of aches and pains. The feeling of floating unaided, in warm water, is an experience not to be missed! Worshippers in Lo Pagan area (15minutes drive) can be seen caking themselves in the different coloured warm muds, relaxing while it dries, then, gently floating in the water to allow the mud to cleanse the body. Very invigorating yet relaxing at the same time. You really must try it! FANTASTIC!

Also, the salt in the air absorbs all excess moisture from it. This and the excellent climate make this an ideal environment for anyone suffering from asthma, and other medical conditions that benefit room warm, dry air. This area also attracts a large variety of birds.

The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival and bright and airy. We arrived late in the day, and it was a joy to find the beds were even made for us and plenty of fresh towels! Although the advert said there was room for 5, there was in fact plenty of room for myself, my husband, our 2 friends and our 2 children who shared the sofa bed. We could even all sit round the table to eat as it opened out and there were 6 dining chairs. We all enjoyed the beach, just down the road, and it was so easy to find somewhere to eat to satisfy all our tastes. Great value Chinese with wine and liquors included in the really cheap prices! But also, Steak house, Pizza, Italian, Spanish, Indian, and of course very reasonable bar meals. The FREE Satellite TV was great. After a hot day on the beach, just to chill, and be able to watch all our favourite TV programmes, Soaps, before hitting the evening fun. Great!

The apartment is top floor, but there are only 4 floors. Access by fully serviced lift or stairs. Non smoking inside apartment (smoking only on balcony, please). The air-conditioning unit can also be switched to allow warm air heating. Additional free standing fan available. Winter lets - additional oil filled heater & convector heater available, if needed. Winter bedding. Electricity by coin-operated meter. We pre load the meter with a complimentary 10 euros, so that there will be electricity on your arrival. The meter is fixed at the equivalent rate as the actual electricity supply rate. Unfortunately, the meter has had to be installed due to misuse of the air-conditioning system. This way we can keep our rental rates low. BRITISH Satellite TV available free of charge. Watch all your favourite channels /soaps, just like home! Why not buy DVD's locally & watch them before you go home, if you get time after sunbathing & sightseeing. Parking may be a few streets away in Summer.

Excellent value for money accomodation

When we first saw the apartment details on the web site we knew it had everything we were looking for, for our holiday. Right by the beach; restaurants; bars; the town; buses. The price to rent the aprtment was just £100 for a week! We were very pleasantly surprised as we thought it would be alot more! As there were 4 of us, it meant we paid just £25 each for a weeks accomodation!! Where could you get a great apartment for that sort of price? We all enjoyed the holiday and will definately be booking again! Thanks

Fabulous Holiday and Great Apartment

Apartment is in a great location for a relaxing beach holiday. It is clean and well equipped. There is a good choice of restaurants in the immediate area or by the harbour, a little further on. Several convenience shops meant we could easily buy a few bits for the fridge or cook a meal in, if we wanted to. Nice to know the manager was on hand in case we needed him, which we didn't. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.

My family and i had never been to Torrevieja before and i am pleased to say that we all had a fantastic time! The apartment was spacious, modern, clean and had all the facilities needed to enjoy the week we had. Entering the front door of the lobby it was bright, clean and also had a lift......no need to walk up flights of stairs, whoop whoop. Walking into the apartment was a real pleasure as it was bright and had air conditioning in the main lounge and fans for extra cool nights. The kitchen had all the equipment needed if i had chosen to cook haha, but i only managed to make tea or pour the vodka! After a long day on the beach, which was only a 2 minute walk away, we would all use the pool before going up to the apartment. This was really refreshing and relaxing end to our very hot, sweaty day.

Then after showering and pampering we would walk down to the restaurant and bars and have fantastic food and drink to end our lazy days.

All in all it was a holiday to remember and one that i will definiantly revisit. The price that we paid for this holiday was extremely cheap and definiantly value for money.

fab holiday

just back from a fab holiday thanks a mill to dereck and helen. The appartment was clean and close to all facilities.locked ourselves out on the first night by taken the wrong key rang dereck at 1am and helen was around within ten minutes to let us in.The appartment was very secure. the only no of the appartment was the no swiming from 3.30 to 5.30 due to sieasta but the sea is fab and only five mins walk we lived there. Lovely pubs within two mins walk popeye lovely pub.Dereck told us about the smaller waterpark where we went twice.The balconey on the appartments fab clothes dry in 1 hour cant wait to go back.

Owner's Response: Great to hear that you had such a good holiday, no problem with coming out to let you in, we are only 10 minutes away, easy mistake with the keys on your first night especially as everything was a rush for you to try to get out and eat as your flight was late, anyone could have made the same mistake. It is a shame that the pool has to close for Siesta but as it is a residential apartment block of course there are people who work and need to have their rest in the afternoon ready for going back for their late shifts at work. But like you say the beach is only five minutes away and is very safe for the children with the lifeguards on duty all day. The smaller "Flamingo" water park just out of town is much better for the smaller children as you can see what they are up to wherever they are, the main "Aquapolis" water park in town is fine for the bigger kids, but the queues can be quite long especially in the week, Sundays are definately quieter! What a lovely family, and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Great Holiday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well appointed apartment, only 2 minutes walk to Los Locos beach and a great variety of bars and restaurants, something for everybody! Only a 15 minute walk along the promenade took you into the main harbour and town of Torrevieja with many shops and more restaurants. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay and the satellite TV was an excellent bonus so we could keep up with our favorite TV programmes. The small balcony although it had no view was ideal for a quiet glass of wine while the kids were in bed. Plenty of hot water for the whole family. Derek and Helen were friendly and polite even though it was very early morning when we checked in at the apartment (2.00am) Overall a great holiday and we will definitely be visiting again!

Colditz without the sky!

We have been travelling for many years and have never stopped any where so dreadful. You could not see anything but concrete through any window--I mean right up to the window .The so called balcony was also facing a huge grey concrete wall .The sky could only be seen if you leant backwards and looked up whilst on balcony.

Appalling electrics and lack of hot water,and being visited by an electrician at 8.45pm ,who upon leaving said whatever you do don,t touch making us feel that this was a serious fire risk ,made our minds up that we had to leave after only 2 days.

We had contacted the agent about the electrics initially and he had been offhand at first then turning aggressive. He refused to meet with us when we said we wanted to leave.Customer care was non existant .We had paid 50euros for cleaning and hadn,t even unpacked

Owner's Response: As you may tell, the writer of this comment was expecting a sea view, but no where on the advert does it say that there are any views, and we were sorry if that is what they expected. The apartment is on the inside of a private block of apartments (as stated on the web site) in the town so of course there can be no sea views, The balcony overlooks the communal pool and of course the rear of adjoining apartments which is the case in most apartments in the town, but you can see the sky no problem!. The only problem with the electrics was when the power point decided to pack in to the water heater (which was renewed February this year) and there has been no problem until now, but as the power points are in full sunlight on the balcony they become brittle and unfortunately decided to fail whilst the guests were in, the electrician fitted this repair in the same day as it was reported after his full days work schedule and fitted a new set of sockets for the boiler, He put a cover over the old sockets in the wall and told the guests not to touch them until the adhesive had dried. The agent did not refuse to meet the guests to check them out on the 3rd day but he was away at the time and unable to get back in the time that the guests wanted to leave. He goes to great lengths to make sure that guests have their problems sorted as soon as humanly possible. As you can see by all other reviews all other guests have enjoyed their stay at this apartment as they have read the details on the web site and understood what they were going to get with the apartment and many have returned year after year. The €50 is payable for the clean and laundry, which still had to be done even after 3 days ready for the next guests arrival.

The apartment is situated around 100m from Playa de Los Locos, one of the nicest and most popular beaches of Torrevieja. There are many Spanish and International (English, Irish, Italian, Chinese) restaurants, bars & shops and within 5-minute walk catering for all kinds of tastes. There are 3 18-hole golf courses within 20-minute drive and the historical towns of Alicante & Murcia are easily accessible on the motorway with plenty to see and do. The buses run along the beach front into Torrevieja town centre where there are a vast array of shops; an indoor market; open air market on the harbour front, that lasts into the evening; a fun fair; restaurants; discos, and of course the marble walkway all around the beach front into the harbour. If you take the bus in the opposite direction, you can go to La Mata and Gaurdamar where there are more fantastic beaches and activities to choose from. Supermarkets nearby. Very large 'CarreFour' & New Shopping Centre 'Habernaras' short drive, +lots.
