What makes this House unique
The Heller Building was built in the late 1800's. In 1810 a fire destroyed most of the city and all the buildings were reconstructed with brick and mortar. It has been a bus depot, barber shop, diner and more than likely, a bordello back in the day. In 1996 a heavy snow brought down the roof and the owners redesigned the loft for a personal living space, adding unique touches from our mining history and the history of Wallace. The operating room light from the original Wallace Hospital now serves as the dining light in the main room. A fire door from one of our mines closes off the master bedroom and the parquet floors are from the old gymnasium. Leaded glass, antique door handles and a boiler plate on the wall are just a few of the meaningful and historical fixtures that make this residence so unique!

Do yourself a favor and stay here!
Centralized in downtown Wallace, this property offers stunning views, roomy accommodations (the pictures do not do it justice), and a gourmet kitchen. While staying here with our family of 11, we took advantage of the location and explored all that Wallace has to offer and returned home to this beautiful loft. Heidi was very responsive with her communications and gave great suggestions! We thoroughly enjoyed this location and will definitely plan on staying here again.
Great stay. Very nice place. Great town. Very comfortable but the smaller bedrooms are a little hot at night.
We loved everything about it. Hope it's available next time we visit. Owners were fantastic. Clean, comfortable, great location. Local family members had no idea something this nice was in Wallace. Highly recommend.
Lori and her group were absolutely wonderful! They left it spotless and were great guests. Would defintely rent to them again.
What an awesome place to stay while visiting Wallace. This place has lots of open space and large windows that bring in natural light and fresh air. Bedrooms are large and spacious and so are the bathrooms. Plenty of room for groups to gather yet have your own personal space. Location is fantastic for walking around town, to the store or dinner. Easy on and off the main highway. Host was wonderful and informative. I plan to return and will stay here again. The area is beautiful and the town is very friendly. My extended family that was with me all loved the experience with staying in The Loft. Ages were 18 to 82.
Very friendly group of people and so appreciative of the history and uniqueness of this space. Great guests!
