Why Terry Dyer chose Frankfort
We purchased our cottage in 2017 after many years of piggyback vacationing with Tim, Michele and their family. Although the ownership is new, we intend on keeping most everything similar as years past with the exception of a few upgrades to both the home and landscape. The beauty of the area and great location with many amenities and activities was a huge draw to our family, especially having your own little private beach to hang out on. Not to mention the crystal clear water and beautiful views of the lake. We hope to continue sharing our cottage with your family while you relax and enjoy the the area as best possible.
What makes this Cottage unique
Historically this area has been and continues to be a great attraction for the the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, Traverse City cherry festival, local wine tasting, shopping, antiquing and fishing on Crystal Lake & Lake Michigan waters. With over half of clients as return vacationers, this alone makes it a testament to the beauty of the area and a great place to make memories with your family.

Gorgeous Lake and Cottage
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Crystal Lake. The lake is aptly named as the water was crystal blue and clear (and very warm too!). We appreciated and took full advantage of the supply of water toys and the jet ski hoists. The cottage fit the 12 of us comfortably and was generally well appointed. We started off with a little snafu with the cleaners as they forgot to restock towels, but the issue was resolved before we knew it. Truly appreciated the owners responsiveness, including shipment of missing kindle for my nephew! Two thumbs up!
Overall, the cottage was perfect for our family vacation. It was spacious & had plenty of room to accommodate the 12 of us. It has a nice outdoor patio with two large tables so you can enjoy dinner outside. One downfall would be all the ants that are on that patio. While the cottage looks clean, there were a few cobwebs and dead bugs in corners that we needed to sweep up when we got there. We would defiantly come back & stay!
Our stay was for a family reunion that included three generations. We all had fun and enjoyed the facilities completely. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness upon arrival... there were lots of dog hairs on the living room furniture... this was surprising because there is a "no pet" policy. We also had to sweep the floors and knock down a few cob webs. This was a minor distraction for us though and we still highly recommend it to others. The younger ones especially enjoyed the kayaks. Fires on the beach in the evening were fun for everyone. This is a great place to stay!
Appreciate your feed back! We have addressed and dealt with the issue with an pet being in our cottage. I am sorry that you found our place in unsatisfactory condition. Our veteran cleaning crew retired this spring and left us short handed for good quality cleaners but has now been addressed. In fact, last two weeks of renters have positively commented on how clean the cottage has been.
