Week away at turtle beach
The house was generally good. The kitchen had most of what you need although cooking pans and pots are in rough shape. Be prepared to buy every essential you need. The bathrooms had a bar of ivory soap each and that was it. The view is breathtaking from every room and that is the highlight. The front porch is the place to be and that’s where we ate our breakfast every morning. Turtle beach itself is full of seaweed, but once you get past the seafood it’s good for a swim. The house is within a short distance to several cleaner nicer beaches. Definitely rent a Jeep as this house is out there and you don’t want to be stuck waiting for a taxi your entire trip. The WiFi worked well but there is only one tv and it did not support my son’s Xbox which we brought so we could watch Netflix at night. Without movies or cable we ended up playing uno at night. This home has no board games or other activities so bring your own. I traveled alone with my kids ages 12 and 9 and we definitely got bored in the evening. Overall we liked the house but I would definitely call it a rustic beach house versus a vacation home.
