April 19-21 2019
There was plentybof dishes for making breakfast for us every morning. It is about a half hour away from the nearest supermarket and there is only one cafe located next Old Tunnel State park.l, which is great for a small hike with kids, as we did with ours. The yard in the back was overgrown so we didn't do much back there, but there are chairs in the yard for lounging had the yard be kept up with, and there are two other cabins nearby so if your neighbors guests are rowdy, you'll diffenitely hear it. Fortunately for us, there was no one in those cabins when we went. The view is fantastic! You will certain feel like you are at the heart of the hill country in this cabin! You see large rolling hills for miles! If there is rain, you may want to consider an all wheel drive vehicle, as the cabin is located down a dusty, rocky incline that, even in dry weather, my wife and I nearly lost traction on. Movie and game selection was minimal, and nothing kid appropriate. Shower is small and only accomodates one at a time. Overall, my family and I very much enjoyed this cabin and will consider it again for future trips!
Home away from home
Everything we needed. Enjoyed being out in the country, Comfy beds, charmingingly decorated, the poarch was great, would definitely stay there again and recommend to others!
Brand new house.
Relaxing, pristine house at the end of a dead-end road. Beautiful view of the sunset from back porch. Love the all natural wood interior of the house. Only thing was that shower was too small, but all in all, we had a wonderful time!!!!
Quiet cabin in the hills, cute inside, outside and surroundings not so much
The cabin itself had everything you needed to stay. The bathroom was furnished with things you might forget, there was coffee for the morning. Seasoning and spices if you cooked (which we didn't) but it was nice to know they had those items available. The only thing about the house and amenities I did not like, were the towels. They smelled of smoke, maybe someone who was responsible for washing them, smoked? Not sure but It just made for an unpleasant smell especially after showering.
Wifi worked but not great and no signal so It is a getaway from everything.
Finding the house was rather difficult and I would not recommend a small car, for the only parking was in front of the house and the gravel and dirt was muddy and car would easily bottom out down the steep hill. Be prepared to go to the Walmart in town for any of your needs, the house is about 15 miles out of town and up a winding road in the hills. It does seem a bit sketchy getting to the cabin but overall the inside of the cabin was great for what we wanted. I don't think I would personally stay there again but if you are looking for a cabin in the woods and a get a way from civilization, then you have found it.
We will ensure the towels are thoroughly laundered and apologize for any unpleasant odors you encountered during your visit.
This cabin was wonderful! My husband and I visited for the weekend just after our wedding as a weekend honeymoon. The cabin was far enough out to get the country feel but still close enough to run into town if needed. The views from the cabin were beautiful as well as the drive up. Loved this cabin!
