Optimal location for all things Tamarindo
We had two families with total of 4 adults and kids ages 14, 11, and 11.
Sunrise Condos and this unit in particular were perfect to be able to stay together, not be crowded, and access anything in Tamarindo very easily. Once we parked, we never needed to use the car as everything is in walking distance.
Check in process was super simple although it's confusing as to why you have to go to Marlin del Rey to get a key when you just use a code to access to the unit. Also, the parking guard was confused when our friends showed up later and needed a place to park.
Condo unit was well stocked with basic necessities. Accommodations are ~3.5 stars (definitely nice but not super high end). We only made breakfasts at the condo as there are sooo many good restaurant options in town. The chairs for the beach were great. Things that could help improve stay are:
- Laundry soap - we left some after buying at the grocery store; I hope it's there for the next people
- Nicer bedding -- sheets are a bit thin, limited blankets
- Beach umbrella or tent -- it is HOT at the beach and you need some shade
- Real beach towels to bring to the beach vs. using the bathroom towels
- Some basic cooking items like salt, pepper, cooking spray
All of this stuff is available at nearby shops but relatively expensive to buy when you're only there such a short time.
Finally, there is a BluRay player and a great selection of DVDs but none of them worked -- said it was the wrong country code.
