The Villa Vista Montaña is a luxury villa, set in 3000sqm mature landscaped gardens, with unhindered breathtaking views of sweeping volcanic mountain ranges and spectacular sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean, and is regarded by many as being the best property of its type and location available in the area. The heated swimming pool & patio are secluded and set out to maximize on the year-round sunshine and has been walled for privacy, whilst the covered BBQ & dining area provides shade in even the hottest of temperatures. Internally, this superior accommodation is tastefully furnished & the spacious rooms are well maintained & decorated to exceptionally high standards throughout, giving a comforting “home from home” ambiance. As a space to “chill out” or as a base to explore the island and enjoy the “Fuerteventura Experience” the Vista Montaña is the perfect place to stay and its charm has guests returning year after year (the guest book shows many visitors just don’t want to leave!

Heated Swimmimng Pool & Mature Gardens: The 7.5m x 3.5m swimming pool is heated via a heat exchanger (NB: It is not solar heated) and will provide water temperatures in the region of 27-28°C. The terraced patio area gives panoramic views of the stunning landscape and volcanic mountain ranges, as well as unspoilt and unhindered views to the Atlantic Ocean, where spectacular sunsets can be seen. The property is in an exceptionally quite location, and the large 3000m² garden and has a wide driveway with a turning/parking area, and is surrounded by a range of mature Canarian plants including cacti, palms & succulents, which now provide a micro-climate where indigenous birds & harmless creatures have settled and thrive.

Being seasoned Villa-renter's we congratulate you on your high standards especially re the cooking utensils which are the first items that bear the signs of mishandling by previous renters. Given that in Dec./Jan. Fuerte is one of the few places with warmth & sun within a four hour Flt. time, Regards, Jim & Else

Fantastic Holiday Once Again

This are 5th year at this villa , the owners do such a fantastic job on keeping it up to date, what views from patio Mountains and Sea Views, so peaceful. Will be back next year already pre booked.

Over-advertised, with invading carer

We just got back yesterday and unfortunately this house is a bad choice.

Firstly - the owners are masters of marketing. The house has some marketable points and the owners squeeze everything and more out of them. Fast communication and very promising and comprehensive materials provided.

As for the house - here we go:

Very dirty pool - the pool was full (like hundreds) of small pieces of the pool cover that was apparently falling apart. Everyday, after I uncovered the pool, I had to spend 15-20 minutes fishing with the net for ‘stuff’ and obviously didn’t get everything as it’s not possible.

Rotting pool-cover - did I mention that? Black in places, rotting and generally not making the pool experience nice at all. The carer said that the new cover is on its way. Good for the new guests (unless he will continue selling this story).

The pool itself is of poor quality - made of a plastic foil of some sort, not tiles. It’s also very shallow - the most shallow pool of all the holidays I’ve had so far (nearing to 20).

Surprising unannounced visit of the carer. I actually spoke to the owner 3 days earlier about to inform me ahead of any visits. Did not work.

A second (!) unannounced visit from the carer - on the day before departure. This time he actually used the keys and walked into the house thinking that no one was there. I was on the beach but my son stayed in the house. Scary moment for a 14-year old, seeing a stranger inside the house. Huge violation of privacy and T&Cs too. Was he coming in on the other days when we all were out?

But the biggest of all - before the booking, the owners agreed the late check-out, around 3pm. This was one of the deciding factors, with 2 kids and the plane back at 7pm.

Mid-stay it turned out that nothing of that sort, we have to pack and move out by 10:30am. But hey - we can “stay on the patio”!

And “other guests were happy with that”. Seriously.

Droning noise from the pool-heating machinery

Half-broken dishwasher

Bizarrely weak main fuse which blows up every time you have more than 2 heating devices on (like a kettle, oven, washing machine, etc)

Beach towels provided as advertised but turns out - not for the beach, just for the pool.

The owners mastered the marketing of their house but beware because you are not getting what you are counting on.

Positioned on the SW edge of the quaint and picturesque, village of Tindaya in the North of Fuerteventura, the Vista Montaña is just 25 minutes from the resort of Corralejo, with its water park, twice weekly market and numerous shops, bars & restaurants and the nearby “Las Dunas” National Park with its remarkable beaches and sand dunes. A 15 minute drive will take you to the smalluer resort & fishing village of El Cotillo, with its shallow lagoons, harbour & restaurants. Only 10 minutes from the village is La Oliva, with a bank & ATM, chemist and several shops, bars & café’s. Tindaya village has, has 3 supermarkets (one English owned & open 7 day a week) and 3 bars. The nearest beach is just 7 kilometers away and is never crowded. With the only sounds to be heard coming from the sea-birds, the wind and the Atlantic Ocean, it is probably the closest most people will get to true serenity. Internet is charged in Fuerteventura. time of arrival 4.30pm depart 10am

This tastefully furnished and well presented luxury accommodation, comprises of a roomy entrance hall leading to the fully equipped fitted kitchen, and to the large living/dining area which is comprehensively furnished to accommodate 6 people in comfort and includes Ipod Docking with CD,40' flat screen TV with English and Spanish channels also DVD (including a selection of DVD’s). An inner hall leads to the 3 generous bedrooms and family bathroom, and like the living/dining areas has direct access to the terraced patio area via French windows. The kitchen is fully fitted with granite worktops and traditional oak doors, and is equipped with all the utensils necessary for preparing and serving a family of up to six people. It comprises of an eye-level oven & grill, built-in microwave, ceramic 4 ring hob, dishwasher, full height fridge/freezer, washing machine & ample storage space There is also access to the covered BBQ/dining area and to the heated swimming pool from 5/2/15 German sat.
