About Jeanne LeDoux-Hickman
I love to travel. I've been to most states in the US and over 13 other countries. My adult kids introduced me to airbnb when we took a trip together through Spain, Andorra, and France. I was so impressed that people from other parts of the world would open their homes to complete strangers. It helped refresh my trust in others. Now, we open our "barn-do-minium" to you. We have had the most amazing experiences with our guests. People from The Netherlands, Vermont, Washington State, and on and on and on. (Please read our reviews on airbnb)
Jeanne LeDoux-Hickman purchased this Barn in 1997
What makes this Barn unique
I feel so blessed to be able to live on this beautiful piece of land. The location is perfect. We can be in major tourist areas within 20 - 25 minutes but we don't have to "live" there! It's always so nice to come home....I think you will feel that way too.

We absolutely loved staying on this property. The views were spectacular and the location was in close proximity to the different attractions. Jeanne was very accessible and attentive; and made recommendations of nearby places to visit. Highly recommend this property! We definitely plan on returning!
Attention to detail makes this a great place to stay!
We just returned from a long weekend stay here. The barn is on the owners property but they leave you alone while letting you know if there is anything you need, they’re just a call away. It’s obvious they love their home and are happy to share their farm with others. Their land and this barn are immaculately kept. The kitchen could be used to prepare the most complex dinners, if that’s your thing. Any tools or utensils you may need are provided for your use. The barn was exceptionally clean and very well appointed. It had everything you may need and may have left at home. The bed was very comfortable, a rare find in many places we’ve stayed. And can we talk about the view? For crying loud! Breathtaking! It was great to sit on the porch and just look at the mountains and as a nice bonus, you also have a view of those mountains from the kitchen window. We enjoyed our stay so much and plan on staying again as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for your wonderful wonderful review! I’m so glad that you were happy here. We love sharing our farm with others. And we feel blessed every single day to be able to live in beautiful East Tennessee We look forward to your future visit. You two were wonderful guests and I enjoyed meeting you both
Clean, homey and comfortable!!! Jeanne made us feel welcomed!! I loved how when we showed up she had everything we needed for our visit. (Popcorn, soda, coffee, creamer, and even some fresh baked muffins and homemade jelly.)
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.
Great location and wonderful accommodations. Will keep this place in mind when we travel to the Gatlinburg area again. Beats the cabins on the edges of a cliff any day of the week.
Best place we stayed on our trip
So private and beautiful view of the mountains. Host was available but only if we needed something. We didn't need a b thing. Owner made sure everything was on hand. We will be back. So convenient to pigeon forge area...without the crowd!
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! We look forward to seeing you again.
The Barn-do-minimum at Mockingbird Farm is beautiful and peaceful getaway! We had a wonderful time. Great hospitality! This house is an AAA+. We will be back again for sure!
I'm so glad you were able to come for a visit! Thank you so much for the sweet card! We look forward to seeing you again! God Bless!
The Mockingbird Farm is centrally located. Within 20 - 25 minutes you will arrive in Knoxville, Maryville, Townsend, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.
Knoxville is the home of The University of Tennessee. There are lots of restaurants, breweries, museums and shops.
Maryville is the home of Maryville College. Although not as large as Knoxville, there are wonderful restaurants and shopping.
Townsend is the "quiet side" of the Smokies. Hiking/nature/beautiful trails and waterfalls. Horseback riding, etc.
Sevierville/Pigeon Forge is the home of Dolly Parton. Dollywood is located there. Also lots of tourist attractions. Snow skiing in Winter. Water parks. Movie theaters. Tanger Outlet Mall, etc.
