About this property

You will fall in love with this quaint home on the North end of Lake Darling. The home features an open kitchen/dining room layout, with a beautiful view of the lake and a patio door to the deck. The living room has a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and also has a patio door to the 2 level deck where you can enjoy the view and soak up some sun. For those cool, rainy evenings, the living room also has a gas fireplace.

Bring your boat and tie off to the dock for some great fishing or recreational boating on the famous Chain of Lakes. The home is located just minutes from dining, shopping, and beautiful downtown Alexandria.

There are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed. The home also has a beautiful bathroom with tiled floors and shower surround. The home will only sleep 4 adults in beds, so an air mattress may be necessary if you have 5 or 6 guests.

There is no smoking allowed on the property and pets are not allowed.

Beautiful lake views

Everything was smooth with check in. Parking is tight if you have a large boat trailer. The cabin is well appointed and updated. Being on chain of lakes is great.

Great location between Winery and town

Very busy road but with air running didn't notice as much. Cleats on dock would be helpful to tie boat off. Biggest issue was TV in LR. Smart TV useless with constant buffering and antenna not strong enough for local stations. Not there to watch TV but for the nightly rate, would be nice to have a functional TV after sun goes down. Daughter and I got swimmers itch so be sure to dry off immediately after getting out of water.

First vacation at 75

My wife and I took our first vacation together in over fifty years and wanted to use our new fishing boat and spend time with kids and grand kids. We were impressed with all aspects of this beautiful place. Thank you for making this a memorable trip.

What a view!

We had a very nice stay at the Lake Darling property. Despite lake levels we were able to find a spot to do our water sports. We were surprised by the bunk beds in the second bedroom, as they were not shown or described in the description. The person on the bottom got no air from the ceiling fan as the top bunk blocked it and the top bunk person had to be careful not to hit the ceiling fan. Needless to say the younger people had that room and we made it work. The home is next to the road, but we were not really bothered by excessive road noise at night. We would stay again minus the top bunk! Thanks much for sharing with us!
