Perfect place to stay for our first visit to London

  • 5 of 5

We picked this apartment because of its proximity to the Euston Station and it really turned out to be the perfect place for us. We explored the neighborhood on the first day and found several pubs that we visited over the rest of the week. There was a very nice grocery a street over so we were able to buy coffee and some other snack foods. We did not do any cooking but the house seemed to be set up nicely if we had wanted to. The building was very quiet - we only saw 1 other person in the elevator the entire week. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of room for the 3 of us. We spent our days exploring London and surrounding areas and came back after dinner to spend our evenings relaxing and planning the next day's adventure. The wi-fi was great to allow us to keep up with what was going on back home. We had a little trouble with the hot water heater but once we found the reset button on it we were able to make sure we had hot water every day. Probably the only recommendation I would make is to say that it would be nice to have a few more towels. If we were ever to go back to London, this is definitely a place I would stay again!

Convenient location, tidy apartment

  • 4 of 5

This is not so much a home-away as an apartment that is run as accomodation for guests. The apartment has everything you would expect in a hotel room - toiletries, linen, iron, hair dryer and so on, but very little in the way of homely, personal touches. The apartment seems to be run by company that run a number of apartments, and they seem to be very busy. They can help with any request you might have, which is great, but again it all seems a bit impersonal. They were actually quite rude to us on the day of check in - apparently they had expected us to call earlier and were thus upset with us (even though we had called several times in the week prior, and even though my plane only touched down a few hours before check in, apparently we didn't speak to the right person or something - it was all very odd). The check in process was actually the worst bit of our stay because of this rudeness - I can only assume that because the company runs so many properties, they farm out the meet and greet/check in to other people. All our other contacts with the group were pleasant.

Property is not the detail

  • 1 of 5

* I rented cause 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms but 1 bathroom couldn't use whole 12 nights. I believe the owner knew about it already before I rented.

*The entrance hall has opened toilet and garbage room, so very stinky.

* The owner told me that it has emergency call, and I called the number. Someone answered, but she said the office is closed and call you asap, but no one called me back.

* Kitchen toaster's bottom has mountain of bread crumbs.

* I asked the owner to give me back some money for the property is not the detail, but she said no. I am wondering why only traveller has to pay the deposit for insurance, why not the owner for not the honest?

Excellent property

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was clean, bright, and spacious. We were greeted immediately on our arrival, and were given a clear and quick explanation of everything we needed to know. The location couldn't be better. It felt very luxurious and comfortable to us both. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Really nice apartment, lived up to expectations

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was everything that it was shown to be on HomeAway site. The owner was very helpful.

Apartment was clean and everything was in good condition.

Nice views over the area of London. Conveniently close to Euston station, underground, busses, supermarkets and restaurant/pubs.

There were some items missing (only 3 glasses and 2 teaspoons), also there was a note saying if we used the umbrellas we should be sure to leave them behind or we would be charged, however there were no umbrellas. The good thing is we were not charged for any of these and received the full deposit back.

My only small complaint is the beds were a bit old and had some bumps, but we slept well anyway.

One recommendation for improvement would be if they put a double bunk in the second room, so that one person did not have to sleep on the sleeper couch (we are a family of 4).

Overall I would highly recommend it.
