This property is a late 19th century Victorian built mid terrace house which has recently been beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished into a holiday home. There is free on street parking outside of the property. It is ideally located just outside the city centre but within easy reach and only a 15 minute walk of the many attractions, bars, cafes and restaurants. Located close by and within a 5 minutes walk are pubs, takeaways, shops and a supermarket. The racecourse and designer shopping outlet are within a 10 minute drive. Both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach.
The property offers a bedroom with king-size bed, original cast iron fireplace, dressing table, built in cupboard and wardrobe and a second bedroom with twin beds, original cast iron fireplace and ample storage. There is also a travel cot available. Downstairs is a luxury Bathroom, newly renovated to a high standard with P shaped bath with shower over bath, sink and WC and and heated floor. Hand soap provided. There is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen including electric oven with gas hob, larder fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and washing machine. When its time to relax you can enjoy the comfortable living room with sofa, chair, LCD HD 32” Flat screen TV with free view, DVD player and small DVD library, a small selection of games, Ipod Dock and free WiFi Internet access. There is a separate dining room with dining table and 4 chairs. To the rear is a secure and enclosed backyard with table and chairs.
The home was as advertised. A reasonable walk from the train station in a quiet neighborhood. Grocery and take out restaurants nearby. The place was very clean and owners communicated well throughout. Would definitely stay again.

A cosy place at a very good price with all the things you will need and plenty of on-street parking. We used it as a base to travel into the city centre.
We had a great stay. A short taxi ride into York to explore and enjoy.
Super location, très bien équipée et très confortable. L'accès au centre historique de York se fait en 10 minutes en voiture. Il est facile de se garer dans la rue (et gratuitement). A la maison, il y a des informations touristiques (dont une carte de York) qui nous ont été d'une aide précieuse. Toujours en voiture, il y a deux grands hypermarchés à 10 minutes en voiture (Asda et Sainsbury's), très pratique pour remplir le frigo. Angela et John sont à notre écoute et le panier garni est appréciable quand on arrive (pain, Kit Kat, petite confiture, thé et café + beurre et lait frais dans le frigo, et même une bouteille de vin blanc !).
Was fantastic in every way, and this comes from an international traveler who does so as a profession. All convenience items were there, only complaint that has nothing to do with the unit is the noise from next door during quiet hours. However this is adjoining wall problems that you could only address by notifying surrounding tenants that you had guests and that quiet hours be adhered too.
In al other ways it was as in America called a five star experience
