Cortijo Sea Bass is a former farmhouse located in an estate of olive and carob trees and fruit trees (orange, peach, almond ...).

The house has been completely renovated respecting the original building and its structure, thick stone walls, some reed ceilings and wooden beams. At the entrance there is a large porch from which you enjoy great views of the valley to the mountains and villages in the mountains of Malaga

The house is spread over two floors. At the bottom the rustic kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven, induction hob ... they are located; a dining room with fireplace and built-in oven (for pizza and roasted potatoes) and TV, living room with TV, three bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate studio (with bathroom, kitchen and fireplace). Upstairs there are four bedrooms and two French facilities (separate bathing area with shower, WC), plus a large open as a living room or game room area.

Outside, has an old bread baking oven (usable), barbecue, garden, children's play area, large terraces, porch and a large recreation area with pool, Jacuzzi, lawn and deck chairs.

A wonderful, easy place to relax and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

We came for a wedding and left having fallen in love with Mondrón and the surrounding countryside. The villa has a rustic charm and was spacious, clean and perfect for a group of family and friends to relax round the table on the terrace or down by the pool. The view from the terrace is stunning set in olive groves and fruit trees. Gloria and her husband are perfect hosts. I would definitely recommend Corjito Cabrilla.

We can't wait to return....

My family and I have just returned from a ten night break at Corjito Cabrilla which I hired for my birthday.

When we arrived we were greeted by Gloria then shown around the wonderful house which you could see Gloria is very proud.

The propriety is set in a rural location at the end of a farm track, so hiring a car is essential. The gardens around the house are beautiful not only flowers but also olive trees, fruit trees, herb garden and more grapes than you could possibly consume. The house had more than enough space for the ten adults and six children in my party. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, allow it did take us a day to find the knife draw. The eight bedrooms were very spacious and clean with lots of towels and storage space.

We spent most our time laying around the beautiful pool. I can honestly say it is one of the nicest private pools I have used, it was the perfect lenght and depth for us all. The pool area is a real sun trap all day and the views are amazing.

We all had great fun making pizzas from scratch one evening. Then getting to cook them in a real pizza oven was a great experience. (Remember the oven takes about 3 hours to heat up). Having the pizza oven, large bbq and fresh bread delivered every day, we didn't eat out once which is very unlike us.

We did walk into Mondron most afternoons for a drink in the local pub which is very affordable and to top up on supplies from the village shop which sold everything you could possibly need. The staff in the bar and shop speak very little English but are very welcoming and friendly.

The only negative about this holiday was finding the house for the first time. Both Tom Tom and garmin satellite navigations didn't take us to the house, we end up using google maps which worked much better. For any future visitors I would recommend going into Mondron village because the house is really well signposted from the village and don't worry about driving on a bumpy farm track because Corjito Cabrilla is at the end of the track.

The beautiful Corjito Cabrilla

We have just returned home from a 2 week stay at the beautiful Corjito Cabrilla. Our party of 9 adults and 1 child were all very tired when we arrived at midnight but right away we could see just how truly stunning the house was. The gardens were beautifully landscaped and the terrace and outside areas clean and tidy. It was so quiet which we was exactly what we needed.

Inside the house was bright and airy and very clean and tidy. What struck me especially was the size of the house. It can easily accommodate 18 people without feeling cramped.

We were up at first light to see the pool which was gorgeous. My 3 year old son spent every possible minute in it! There is also a grassed area with ample sun loungers for everyone.

We did have a small issue with the hot tub as we couldn't get the water to heat but it was still a very welcome relief to cool down in the jacuzzi jets on a hot day.

The facilities for cooking and cleaning were great, we couldn't have asked for more.

It was a bit further from the airport than we would have liked, however, that is the price you pay for the stunning scenery and peaceful way of life.

The local town of Mondron is very pretty and there was a small shop which actually sold most things! Along with a local pub and the owners were very friendly.

We used the supermarket at Riogordo which is about 10 minutes away and that had every we required.

There were some lovely walks in the area but mostly we had to drive to sight see. We took a trip to Gibralter for some wonderful shopping and a tour of the rock - watch out for the monkeys!? We also visited El Charco which was the best rated steak in the area. The beautiful Lake Vinuela makes a gorgeous back drop and the steak truly was 10/10. We also visited Comares which you can see in the distance from the corjito, perched right at the top of a mountain! I cannot recommend seeing it enough! The little white-washed town is truly magnificent and the moorish tiles on the ground showing the route to take through the town were charming. We had a nice meal in Table Mountain which is in the next town 2 or 3 minutes away. The owner was very friendly and gave out plenty of advice about the area.

If I was to be very picky I say that only thing lacking was some comfortable outside sofas for relaxing in at night time. There are however plenty of chairs around the table.

All in all everyone of us had a wonderful stay. I would definitely go back!

Great place to stay!

I celebrated my birthday with around 20 friends and family at this beautiful finca and I would recommend it without constraints. The finca is huge (even bigger than it looks on the pictures), everything is in a good state and clean, the communication prior and during the stay was really easy and fast (thanks to WhatsApp) and the surrounding lanscape is impressive. It was actually really easy to find the finca as there were signs starting from the connecting road between Mondron and Periana to the finca.

En fantastisk bolig med en fremragende beliggenhed.

Vi fejrede vores guldbryllup sammen med vore børn, svigerbørn og børnebørn. Vi var 16 personer i alderen 2-72 år. Vi nød det skønne hus og der manglede ikke plads hverken inde eller ude. Vi nød det store spisebord under vinrankerne, hvor alle måltider blev indtaget, samt det dejlig udekøkken, hvor intet manglede. Ikke mindst poolen gjorde stor lykke hos både voksne og børn og en aften blev der også holdt poolparty med discolys og musik. Vi nød den pragtfulde udsigt og stilheden.

Daglig rengøring af poolen og bagerbilen der kom forbi hver dag, samt friske ferskner som blev leveret flere gange, var en dejlig del af ferien.

Alt i alt 14 fantastiske dage, som vi aldrig glemmer. Vi kan varmt anbefale dette skønne feriehus.

Erholung pur

Vielen Dank für 12 Tage Erholung in diesem wirklich schönen, gut gepflegten, praktisch eingerichteten Haus in ruhiger Lage mit dem ansprechend angelegten Garten und dem tollen Pool. Weiter Blick in die Ferne, keine direkten Nachbarn.

Perfekte Zimmeraufteilung für 3 Familien (6 Erwachsene, 8 Kinder zwischen 5 und 18 Jahren): 6 Schlafzimmer, 3 Badezimmer, das seperate Studio haben wir nicht genutzt; sogar einen Basketballkorb, eine Wippe und eine Schaukel gibt es hinter dem Haus.

Sehr dankbar waren wir für die Beschilderung "Cortijo Cabrilla" ab Mondron zum Haus- ohne diese hätten wir fast aufgegeben!

Kommunikation dank google-Translater und mit Händen und Füßen: jeden Morgen kam der Bäcker hupend vorgefahren und lieferte Köstlichkeiten, die Vermieter waren jederzeit ansprechbar (whatsApp sei Dank) und der Nachbar brachte eigenhändig geerntete köstliche Auberginen- danke!!

Sehr nett auch die Bar mit Restaurant in Mondron;

Einkaufen in Periana (Achtung siesta!), LIDL, ALDI, etc in Velez Malaga;

Empfehlenswerte Ausflüge: direkt vom Haus startend eine Rundwanderung auf der "Ruta de los rios y las aldeas" (ausgeschildert), Alfarnate, Naturpark "El Torcal", Antequera, die Stauseen westlich von Antequera ("Embalse de Guadalhorce") mit Wanderung zur Schlucht "El Churro", Malaga downtown, die Strände rund um Nerja;

Begeisterung über Granatäpfel, Mandarinen, Feigen direkt vom Baum, Wiedehopf, Geier, Samtkopfgrasmücke, Schildkröten uvm. gab es zu entdecken und herzallerliebst die 4 Katzenbabies in ihrem Versteck :-D

It is located in the village of Vilo in the mountains of Axarquia, between the Tejeda (La Maroma) and Almijara and surrounded by rugged and steep mountains, such as Sierra de Enmedio, Palomera and Jobo, or birth Batan, which makes it a beautiful natural setting for conducting many activities. The site, located halfway between the beach and the mountains, making it a perfect holiday in summer and winter due to the Mediterranean climate, characterized by mild winters and warm summers, with friendly site chilly at night. It is easily accessible and well connected by the Mediterranean motorway, the A-7 direction Velez Malaga both, for the A-45 or N-331, direction Antequera and Malaga Casabermeja diversion.Estes environment we find a constellation of towns and villages, terraced mountain, where you can still find traditions and customs, besides making an excellent oil (Cooperative Mondrón, a small museum to visit). Cortijo Cabrillas is:

A 1 km .: Mondrón oil cooperative (verdial oil, typical of the Axarquía) with its museum.

1.5 km .: "The ancient baths of the Baths of Vilo" known from the Muslim period for its sulphurous waters of good properties for the skin.

Less than 10 km:

.- Alfarnatejo: Church of Christ of Cabrilla eighteenth century, Fuente del Conejo.

.-Periana: Old Municipal Utility Room, La Fuente, Church of San Isidro Labrador, The Alembic ...

.- Riogordo: the Church of Our Lady. Ms. Grace, the Folk Art Museum on the first floor where we see a chapel in El Paso Riogordo (recreating the Passion of Christ during Holy Week).

Alfarnate .- "La Venta de Alfarnate" considered the oldest selling Andalusia, where there is a small museum with portraits of bandits and traditional elements. Among the tenants of the inn there are the King Alfonso XIII, José María El Tempranillo and Luis Candelas who according to legend stole there an actual email and later was arrested and imprisoned in the same sale. La Ermita de Monsalud (S. XVI) and the Church of Santa Ana with a Moorish tower.

Between 10 and 20 km:

.-Villanueva Del Trabuco, Villanueva del Rosario, Colmenar, Los Romanes: beautiful towns and villages of whitewashed houses architectures.

.- The Torcal de Antequera. Natural Park Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama.

.Malaga -Vélez highlights here: the Chapel of Our Lady. Ms. De los Remedios Church of St. Mary of the Incarnation, the Teatro del Carmen, the keep, the Palace of the Marquises of Beniel and the Church of San Juan Bautista declared of Cultural Interest.

.-Torre Del Mar: to enjoy the beach.

.- Comares: Stroll drifting through the maze of streets and find remnants of ancient Arab settlements: the remains of the fortress, the hill of Mazmúllar, the cistern, which was declared in 1931 Historical-Artistic-, and Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation (XVI century) of Mudejar style.
