I didn’t stay here through VRBO
We called the property to check our reservations and were told we did not have a reservation and the resort did not use sites like vrbo. We called and did live chat with vrbo who tried to contact the listing owner with no luck. We also did not have any follow-up calls from support. I may not use vrbo again. A refund has not been provided.
My problem was not with the resort. VRBO promised confirmation 4-5 days before arrival. The resort had no record of my stay and added that they had never heard of VRBO. You had no problem charging my credit card but my name was wrong, the reservation overlapped and they only had me registered for 2 nites (Which I find out at the desk on my arrival!) I had to travel 15 hours to arrive there all the time worrying that I would have no cabin at all when I arrived! I e-mailed the resort manager twice and left her 2 voice mails with no response. I think there are too many people involved in this process. VRBO (who charged me $46 for this mess, then Resort Rental Pros are involved, plus the resort itself.) My final confirmation came to my cell phone at 2:29 am on the day of my arrival! The entire process was a nightmare, Never again will I use VRBO!
We visited in the last few days of the off-season and the resort was pretty quiet, which we enjoyed. There were several activities being offered but we found the quiet we were looking for. Our cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable.
