Great House!

  • 5 of 5

What a great house! We stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect for the five of us. Great beds and each room had it's own bathroom! We lucked out as the weather was outstanding and were able to spend a great deal of time outside at the picnic tables when we were not off exploring! Perfect location to take photo's of the sunsets overlooking the islands. I would highly recommend this home to folks looking to stay in the Doolin area!

A beautiful house, beautiful view, close to The Cliffs and the Burren and other attractions.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cliffhouse. Three couples staying three nights had more room than we needed. It would be a very comfortable house for four more and for a longer stay. The kitchen was well enough equipped and large enough for all of us to cook together, which we did. It's a short drive into Doolin, where we enjoyed the music at Gus O'Connor's pub (the best of my three week trip). The boat from Doolin to Inishmore gave us a great Aran Island biking day. Staying at Cliffhouse allowed us to visit the Cliffs of Moher in the evening after dinner, when it was quiet and very beautiful. We all enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this beautiful house and location.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful villa.

  • 5 of 5

The cliffhouse was the perfect spot for our group or 8 to call home while we explored the local sites by day and enjoyed the great pubs and music at night. The home is very well equipped. The house overlooks the classic Irish landscape of fields with stone walls in the foreground and the ocean in the backdrop. The views are excellent and visible from several rooms inside through large glass windows. This is a large villa with plenty of space to spread out. If we return, we would definately rebook the cliff house. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Best, Mike

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Ireland was #1 on my bucket list. After my trip I can say the whole week was amazing and the Cliffhouse made it even better. The house is spectacular. It is spacious, well put together and the views are out of this world. If I had one thing negative to say, I’d say it needs more than one non stick frying pan. Lol! That’s the only gripe.

Thanks Anthony. We will be back!

This house was perfect for our extended family visit. There was plenty of space for everyone and it was just perfect. Great gathering spaces and beautiful views. The kitchen had everything we needed. I would recommend this to home to anyone.

Location

Car: necessary

This region of Ireland (West Clare) is rich in archaeological remains, geology, history and legend as well as being regarded as a golfers paradise. These popular attractions that must be visited are the majestic Cliffs of Moher (3 miles), Allwee caves (10 miles), The Burren (6 miles), Poulnabrone Dolmen (10 miles) or take the boat from the pier in Doolin to the Aran Islands and experience the last outpost of gaelic civilization where irish is still the spoken language. Worldwide famous golf courses nearby are Lahinch (links), Doonbeg (links) and Ballybunion (links) to name but a few.

Doolin is renowned worldwide for its wealth of irish music and song. Home to thousands of international visitors each year, Doolin is many things to many people. For some it is a place to experience rousing music sessions nightly in the pub and for others it is a place of solitude and tranquility where one can refresh their spirits away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life.

Golf: This part of Ireland is a golfers paradise with some of the best golf courses in the world nearby. Nearby Lahinch links course (5 miles) and Doonbeg links course (30 miles) being the gems and are liable to give a strict test to the profesional golfer. There is also world famous Ballybunion links course (56 miles away) and is in the top 10 golf courses in the world for the last decade.

Also this area has some magnificent parkland courses such as Dromoland castle , Adare Manor and Woodstock in Ennis.

These famous golf couses are very often frequented by the annual visits of Tiger Woods, Mark O,Meara and Tom Watson to play them in preparation for the British Open Championship.
