About Joe Fox
We are globe trekkers but the Berkshires is our happy place. We love art, live music, craft beers (and inventive cocktails), and hill climbing with our terrier.
Joe Fox purchased this House in 2018
Why Joe Fox chose Hancock
We've been visiting the Berkshires for 15 years and fell in love with this corner of Massachusetts. We love to walk the wooded trails at nearby Field Farm, managed by the Trustees of Reservations, or go for a morning run along a country road with views of Mt. Greylock and the Hopper. A favorite walk/hike is a loop around historic Mt. Hope Farm, just off Route 43 in Williamstown. If you're getting cabin fever or craving a latte, the Store at Five Corners is just 5 minutes up the road, serving coffee, pastries and sandwiches 7 days a week. You can also pick up basic provisions there, as well as local cheese from Cricket Creek Farm. Cross the NY border for brunch at Blueberry Hill Cafe in New Lebanon (just 15 minutes southwest). For classic cocktails, the bar at Mezze is a must; and a beer at Bright Ideas Brewing - right on the MassMoCA campus - is the perfect way to cap an afternoon of world-class art.
What makes this House unique
- 5 minutes from Jiminy Peak (one of the closest properties to the mountain) - 12 minutes from Williams College, the Clark Art Institute & Williamstown Theater Festival - 20 minutes from MassMoCA for art, concerts, and onsite brewery - 30 minutes to Tanglewood and Lenox attractions - breathtaking mountain views and a sauna for apres relaxing

The hosts and the landscape were fabulous.
Beautiful & Charming
We had a great time staying at this beautiful little house. Can’t wait to go back again. We already booked our next stay!
Beautiful house within minutes of Jiminy Peak
We, 2 adults and 2 kids (13 and 10), spent the 2019 MLK weekend at Joe and Val's beautifully renovated schoolhouse. We had a great time, Joe was very friendly and responsive to our e-mails (answering questions before our trip). The schoolhouse itself is fabulous, the drive to Jiminy Peak just minutes. Highly recommended!
Thanks, Robin! It was a pleasure to host you and your family, and I hope you had fun on the slopes. You definitely brought the snow! Cheers, Joe
