This is a must stay in property if you visit Yorkshire. Everything about it was amazing including the superb food at the pub at the bottom of the drive!

Highly recommended!

Lovely Holiday Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was exactly what we were hoping for and its charm exceeded our expectations! Nestled in the Howardian hills countryside, and tucked in behind a small village's pub, it gave us the peaceful, quiet getaway we were looking for during the holidays. Despite the area being chilly in December, everyone associated with the cottage and the pub was warm and pleasant and the cottage itself was so snug and comfortable, neither myself nor my husband nor either of my boys wanted to leave! Fortunately, with 3 bedrooms all meticulously decorated, plenty of heating, a luxurious bathroom, a wood burning stove and food available from next door, we didn't have to! However, the cottage is also ideally situated for day trips to York/Leeds, the North Moors, the coast and lots of heritage sites. Jenna provides a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering and lots of local information on places to eat, shop, visit and get supplies. Our stay was delightful, and I can think of no higher compliment than my husband remarking "we have to come back here in the summer!" Thank you!

Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 nights, the cottage is very beautiful and everyone is very pleasant from the moment you arrive. The cottage is very well decorated and all the rooms are cosy and have everything you need!

The pub across from the cottage is also very nice and I would recommend going for dinner.

The only negative was the 10am checkout which we felt was too early, we had stayed in the October and check out time was 12 which we felt was much better.

Overall I would recommend the cottage
